We need to stop playing Zone!

was just watching sports center......we need to stop with the gay cover 2...we dont have the safties to do that....like i said before we have 2 missle seeking head hunting safties....we have a shut down corner and a pretty good corner in Henry..and a real good corner in glenn.....

why are we not using our corners instead of trying to cover recievers with 1 Goofy safety..and a LB playing safety....when will we learn..i rather see our corners deep in man 2 man coverage...if we gonna run gay cover 2..we might as we'll put Newman and Henry deep at safety in cover 2..cuz we cant do much with 2 turtles running around back there

again... it is reflective of Bill's conservative approach as well as paranoia... He is so threatened by the deep ball, that he exposes Dallas to even more significant problems... control of the clock by the opposing defense, as well as a lot of underneath routes making major gains in the 4th quarters of close games...

We have 0 pass rush.

At one point Breeze baked a Cake and then threw the ball.

Even Statue Bledsoe would have had a field day against us with our terrible pass rush!

I've been thinking the same thing all day about our useless cover 2.
Roy Williams strenght is in the box not one of the cover 2 safeties. We need
to find a true center field safety put Roy in the box to blitz and help against
the run. Our two corners (Newman and Henry) don't need much help over
the top. Teams are beating us in the center of the field.

I had him allowing two catches for 17 yards. One was on a legal pick play for 12 yards (the ball was thrown 6 yards downfield). The other was a wide receiver screen thrown behind the line of scrimmage and that ended up gaining 5 yards. The only other pass they threw at him was another wide receiver screen -- the one to Bush that Newman broke up.

I hate the cover 2, because when you release 3 receivers deep, all you have to do is buy time. To buy time, (if you have a Reggie Bush on your team) just do a fake screen or fake end around to Reggie, this will do just enough to allow the 3 receivers to get out on those safeties, and atleast 1 of them is going to be matched up 1 on 1 and that's the guy that will get burned.

On a side note, it took around 3 minutes left in the third qtr before Parcells finally put a spy on Reggie bush (Burnett). Great coaching!

you are supposed to play cover two when all your corners suck...our corners can cover better than our safeties...i would blitz roy every play...from every side of the field....bring him to the line where he puts fear into teams...move him and ware around...if you advantages you have to use them...roy back at safety is a liability...at the LOS he puts fear into teams...especially with ellis gone...put someone back there than can cover...i dont know who...how about jones or reeves...how about parrish? someone...all i know is roy is one of the best safeties in the league at the LOS...and he is one of the worst playing centerfield

i thought they had newman as a spy for a while, then realized it was because he was in the slot

Not bad at all. I still don't think Parish and Watkins can do any worse at this point but I would not take Williams out of the game, so this means that he becomes a line backer. I'm just not sure if he would hold up as a linebacker in the 3-4, but who knows.

The title of the thread is "We Need To stop Playing Zone". For goodness sake we need to start playing something. Whatever we are supposed to do we are not doing a good job at it. Play zone, play man, play marbles, play mummapeg but play whatever as long as we really play it.
