Now that Dallas seems to have revamped the pass rush, it's time to squish that little bug in New York.

I was wondering this last year. How can you let that little dude just run free off the line of scrimmage like Dallas and other teams did? Get a physical guy like Carr, or now Jones, and get up in Beckham's grill on the line of scrimmage. Beat him to a pulp for the first five yards. He doesn't handle this well at all.

By the time he finally gets down field, Manning is on his back or the ball has gone elsewhere.

Do it.

Because he is very very difficult to get a good jam on off the line of scrimmage. Teams tried it. He killed press coverage. He is so quick, he can get outside or inside before the corner can get to him. Then, with his speed, quickness and catching ability, you're no recovering. you're beat.

Oh and we don't have anything close to an agitator on defense, particularly our DBs.

What adjustments were made in the second half of the second game against the Giants? If I'm not mistaken, he was quiet in the second half after the all world catch he made.

Whatever. Carr, Scandrick, Patmon, White and Jones can all pressure at the line of scrimmage. Our DBs, on average are big and strong. We should be up in his face all day long.

They doubled him the entire second half. He was the only reciever they had at that point. You double him this season and you have to deal with Vitor Cruz.

I didnt say none of them could press. I'm saying, Bekham is all world at beating it. If it was that simple, it would have stopped him in college and last year.

I like the idea I just don't think it works against certain receivers.

I bet Cole Beasley would love for somebody to try and jam him at the line - see ya.

It's not that it would never work for us, its that we play bend, don't break and this would be the complete opposite of that. We play to keep receivers in front of us, not to increase the chance they get behind us.

Not true. Watch the games. Beckham was not press coveraged that much. As happens with a lot of rookies, including Dez, defenses take a while to grow respect for them. The 2nd year is much tougher on the WR as defenses adjust. I think we will see the Jags tactics used every week until Beckham can prove he can beat the press with safety over the top.

Not true again. As the season progressed last year, we did more and more pressing. Now with an improved pass rush, observers have already noted that the DBs are working on press a lot more in camp and most people are expecting us to use it a lot more this season.

In our second game, OBJ took a shot from Scandrick. He left the game...and seemed to disappear. Even after he returned from the locker room, he didn't seem to want any part of the game.

I think you need to be physical with him. He alligator-armed two passes vs the Jags.

If Dallas wanted to purely shut down Beckham, just put Scandrick and Jones, both on him.
