We need Zeke!

That doesn't take away from the fact the we need Zeke to win.
Pro Football Focus estimates that Zeke’s production in 2018 was worth just 0.2 of a win above a replacement player

Elliott is going to be signed. No worries.

He’s just got to get through this hold out and then it’ll be back to normal.

He doesn’t want to sit and Dallas doesn’t want him to sit... it’s just a matter of getting negotiations done.

...let it, shine...let it shine....let it shine, Zeke!

The 3-3 record the Cowboys posted during Zeke’s 6-game suspension in 2017 says otherwise.
We lost 42-17 when Zeke clearly quit in Denver in week 2. Remember that?

Remember when Emmitt quit that time...... oh wait... no you don’t bc he never did.

3 losses were to Atlanta 7-27
Eagles 9-37
And SD 6-28

Do you really think Zeke makes up for 20 pts vs Atlanta, 28 pts vs Philadelphia and 22 pts vs SD?

And when he came back with the season on the line vs Seattle? He had 97 yds on 24 carries and we got thumped.

Point being, I don’t think Elliott being gone had much bearing on that season. It was more poor poor coaching than having Zeke or Alfred Morris

Win what?

We’ve struggled to make it to divisional round with him.

I guess we are an Elite RB less away from the SB. Of course. Why didn’t we think of releasing him before? Lol
We did better against the Giants without him. Lol. We weren’t so reliant on him. Lol. We spread the ball around more and kept defenses guessing. Lol. Why hasn’t a SB winning team in the past 20 years won a SB? Lol. Maybe because they become too reliant on the running back. Lol. I guess we have all the cap money in the world and can sign everybody. Lol. We should blow our wad on one of the most expendable positions in the league. Lol. Pay a guy top dollar who is one push away from being suspended for a year. Lol.

Exactly what I’m trying to say

Not really. Check out the splits when Tyron played in those 6 games vs. when he didn’t. Smith missed the first two of those games (including the infamous Atlanta game). The Cowboys went 0-2. He played the next 4. The Cowboys went 3-1.

As you’d expect with this team, it’s primarily about the O-line.

So now we’re a better team without Elliott. I really don’t need to read anymore. Lol

We did pretty good last year without the next center in the NFL. Zeke was a big part of that.

Drop the mic! No if, ands or buts! We wanna win, we need Zeke!!! I like Dak, but HE needs Zeke!! He cannot carry this team with his arm. Just like Troy couldn't carry us without Emmitt. Dak, tell Jerry to give Zeke a few of your millions or you may be exposed.

I actually think this is prefect. Zeke being the moron that he is and bad decision maker is helping transition the offense to the passing game. Let the punk rot in Cabo. Moore and Dak will be turning the passing game into the strength that it needs to become.

We did very poorly in the red zone, resulting in our being bottom third of the league in points per drive. Frederick’s absence was a big part of that. Neither Zeke nor any other player on the roster was enough to overcome it.

Dak is a better QB than he was two years ago. Last year's finale without Zeke in the lineup proved it (I know, the Giants had a bad defense, but I still stand by my statement).

That would be a good byproduct, I just don't think that's the direction they wanna take the offense. Plus, I don't know if Dak is capable of that.

Our OL can open holes for the other young backs we drafted. Pollard will show the Zeke whiners his 4.34 speed can do damage. Let Zeke pout.

We’re a better team now without the leagues leading rusher. Wow wow wow

I thought this was a Cowboys forum. I’m smelling some opposing fans in here. Unbelievable!!

I agree. Will McClay also mentioned a "contingency plan" if the Zeke holdout lasts into the season. There could be a trade for a RB by September if that happens.

This team is built around the offensive line and Dak's continued development. Zeke makes the offense potentially elite, but it can still be productive without him. Elliott is a special talent, but any reasonably talented back could exploit some of the holes he ran through last year.

Sean Lee missed most of three of those games as well.

My point is, other than the ATL game (man, what a dog!), if Zeke had played, we would had a better chance to have gone 4-1 or 5-1 than with whomever else we had at RB.
