We now have 4 teams that are 2 games ahead of us for the wildcard

I think that based on some of the posts here that some people either don’t know the actual standings or are very bad at math. And once again, at this point, tiebreakers are almost completely irrelevant.

And another in CAR that is a game ahead of us.

Just looking at the standings trying to keep it clear.
Yea, not likely any of the current teams in playoff position lose 3 remaining games which is what would take as 4,5 &6 teams have no more than 4 losses.

Our greater opportunity is Egirls losing out as we only need them to lose 2 more while of course we win out which isn’t given either.

An 8 % chance is pretty much slim and none. I expect we’ll lose another one to put final nail in coffin. Prob next week against LA.

My hunch is we finish with 8 or 9 wins.

I think both will be out of the wildcard hunt. Best one wins division.

Suprised Jerry hasn't tried to get us moved to their division, we'd be what, half a game out of first there?
He had an opportunity to move to South on last realignment but he passed.

Forget that our fans give up like France.
While I understand the frustration, I will never understand the we should give up and think about next year attitude. This is the NFL. You never know how things will turn out in this parity league. We should win the games in front of us and even if we don't make it, we can carry the momentum into next year. Thank goodness fans are not coaches. Last thing we want is to have our players give up. Ever!

Currently the WC’s are Sea 10-3, SF 9-4 and Chi 9-4. We’d need to Chic and SF to lose 3. And I believe Sea clinches with their next win due to Conf record.

And for LA and GB we need them to lose all 4.

Even if one of the top 6 teams faltered you still have Det lingering with 5 losses and also holds tiebreaker over us so.

It all comes down to Phi. That’s our only realistic chance.

Detroit doesn’t hold any tiebreaker over Dallas but if they win three more, Dallas can’t catch them. I do see them maybe going 2-2 but other teams still need to do the same(or worse) which is hard to do since they all play each other. There are just too many teams ahead of them with 9 or more wins already. Three of them are not going to completely crash, it is almost impossible since many head-to-heads are left. It’s still division or bust.

Some of our fans are pretty wimpy.

Well I guess we shouldn’t have played like a bunch of babies against the Lions since our season was at stake.
Exactly. Detroit who was in the same situation played hard as if they had their playoff life on the line.

The head to head win over Dallas is the tiebreaker I was referring to with Detroit.

What is the scenario if Philly loses all 4? Would the Cowboys still have to win out?

Some fans are more realistic knowing that only an 8% chance of making playoffs is a very long shot.

So, basically calling it over isn’t quite a stretch. The fat lady is warming up, lol
