did I miss anyone? I thought we would send the max for sure...

I liked the Scotland Claymores and the Barcelona Dragons. The London Monarchs were ok.

I was hoping NFL Europe could max out at 10 teams....

I would have liked us to have sent an offensive lineman and QB to play.

Historically, those are the positions that have done very well over there.

I don't see where players like Matt Baker or Joe Berger are doing us any good by being here.

I liked Erik Meyer a lot in the draft. He set all kinds of records at Eastern Washington and won the Walter Payton Award for the best Div II player. Adequate arm, good field general, extremely accurate in the pocket and on the move and has moxie.

Ayodele plays for the Frankfurt Galaxy, Curtis and LB John Saldi (former Cowboys TE Jay Saldi's son) play for the Cologne Centurions...

Amsterdam is one of the world's great cities... home of hash houses (first and only place I ever saw them)... hash houses are "cafes" in which you can purchase marijuana and hashish-- legally-- from all over the world... they may not exist any more, I don't know, but they sure did back in the late 60s when I visited the city...

Also home of the world's first "red light" district... no, prostitution didn't begin there, of course it didn't, but Canal Street in Amsterdam was where the actual phrase "red light district" for describing the areas worked by prostitutes originated... on Canal Street, the girls "work" in little shops, with a plate glass window... they sit in those windows, most always in lingerie, with a bed in the shop behind them, a washstand, and a curtain they can draw for privacy...

And a red light bulb glowing up on the wall...

When a sailor comes up and checks out the price tag around the girl's ankle, if interested he taps on the window, she then agrees (or not, occasionally), he enters the side door, she draws the curtain and turns out that red light...

Amsterdam is famous for two other things-- it's the diamond capitol of Europe, and is world-famous for its strip clubs too... my Dad was a junior grade pimp wannabe back in those days, he was into the bling long before bling became a pop phrase, and he availed himself of the great prices to be found in that city...

What's kind of neat is that my nephew/roommate, my late brothers oldest, now owns== and wears-- my Dad's jewelry...

Of course, Amsterdam is famous for all kinds of art and cultural stuff too, but who really gives a hammered cr*p about that??
