We should keep Sam Williams for the right price

I would agree. No need for people to try to measure Eze against anyone but himself.

He wasn’t drafted to replace Micah and no one else expected him to become that type of player.

As long as he’s a good contributor that’s good enough for me. If he becomes a big time sack threat next year, that would be terrific.
I don’t know if he was drafted to replace him but he for was drafted to play that position.

he's been so bad that when he does what he suppose do it tricks people into thinking he might be good.

The problem with him is his production rises as he gets fewer snaps. So yes he if he is super cheap sure, but signing veterans like clowny or fowler who can play more snaps or start is better use of money.

He has been much better these last few games, tackles for loss, pressures, forced fumbles, he will be a good one, I'd be talking to his agent already.

People here want an All pro at every position.

He's been better past two games but we have two first round draft picks in next years draft which has a lot of good defensive lineman. Cheap sure, but be ok if we move on too.

I would use a 1st rd pick at the position and sign a veteran, bridge starter to allow the draft pick some development time
OK so we're in a total agreement and you're trying to get semantics here those three guys on our team are veterans they're not progress stoppers any more than the ones that are on our team you go get a veteran and bring them over you can't spend big money on another defensive end we're sitting here talking all this stuff and it's weird how people forget how little draft picks we have this year and already 55 million over the cap and I realize well get that under control with a lot of June first cuts and changes but,

Come on dude seriously think about it hardly any picks hardly any money and now we have Pickens that's due Aubrey that's due somehow you have to work Clark's contract now or cut him and I'd like to see him stay on defense I mean I don't know where all this money and this draft picks are coming from but sometimes you got to have guys like Sam Williams on your team I mean it is what it is..

It's gonna be a crazy manipulation of the cap the money and will Jerry do it this offseason is going to be very interesting..

Hope it's not interesting with Pickens agent who is also Parsons agent and here we are probably gonna tag him gonna have all this drama I don't want the drama I don't want that kind of interesting I hope Jerry continues his activity that he started this season and continues in the next season and not sit on what he's done this year but back to Sam Williams or somebody I said Clowney he's a veteran fowler he's a veteran sam Williams is technically a veteran and you said we should get a veteran well here they are they're already here why not just try to keep one of these guys instead of making the mistake like we did last year and get rid of Kendricks they should have kept Kendricks We probably wouldn't have as bad of linebacker play 'cause we either wouldn't have Sanborn or Murray here so you know..

They can sign anyone they want, they have ability to create all the cap funds they need

I said earlier in the season to give him time. He is starting to play much better now which was to be expecting coming off a season ending injury before the season started last year. I can see his speed is coming back and he is making plays - while avoiding some of the bonehead mistakes he made in the past. I think Dallas should try to sign him as well. They will only have Ezeiruaku and Houston under contract next year with Clowney and Fowler being free agents. I would bet the farm Dallas will draft another Edge player in April, but I think they need veteran help.

I don't think it will take that much to sign Sam Williams back but who knows. Washington may offer him a boatload of money if Quinn is still the HC.

Just because the Eagles did it once there aren't very many teams that can do it doesn't mean we can make every move necessary they've already used up a lot of those moves that are leaking over in the next year and need to be attended to like I said Clark Pickens Aubrey that stuff started this year it's going to carry over into next year It's not as easy as it looks these are not easy moves given all the guys we're going to cut and have to replace and then the guys we got to try to retain You guys are just saying that because the Eagles did it and you're going to blame Jerry if he allegedly sits on his laurels and doesn't do as much but he's already started 2026 campaign this year all these moves this year our part of next year's hopefully better start to the season and actually a big run

i'm just saying they have less resources than you think and it's not going to be their fault this isn't a roster limit and cap limited league and yes you can do stuff but they've already done it they're $55 million over the cap right now and have a lot of guys they already restructured all that stuff pushed So I'm just saying why don't we calm down about all these moves you think they could or should make because people around here they're Internet GM think it's that easy no what the Eagles did is unusual it's an anomaly and most teams don't do that because they can't do it or unwilling to do it because it really going to mess things up..

I mean I'm all for Jerry having a army of capologists and he does have a lot of people to sit there and try to figure this out And do all the right things but it just may not happen it's not always possible..

Whatever they're thinking of giving to Sam give it to clowney. 100 out of 100. Sam has been in the NFL for 4 years and let an old man off the street outplay him. NO!

I say let him test the market. I would bring him back only if he doesn't find the deal he wants out there.

He's been playing better as of late but I would rather look elsewhere for another DE. Re-sign Clowney to start with EZ and look for depth.

Sam Williams will do something stupid and break our hearts at exactly the most crucial moment.

He should go.

Sam is making some plays but in aspects that are ancillary to his #1 which is to rush the passer. He’s not been good at that this season which is surprising to me given his increase in snaps (he’s had more snaps at this point in the season than he has during any other year in his career).

That says more about Clowney than Sam. Clowney is underrated because he doesn’t rack up sacks but he’s every bit as good as DLaw was for us last year:

When is the last time he’s done this? In my head it was the punt but I don’t seem him do much dumb stuff these days. My biggest pet peeve is guys who live up offsides. Nuts.

I just don’t trust him man.

All it takes is that one stupid penalty at the exact wrong time in a playoff game.

I want the cowboys to try and do better than him.

As do I. But if they are just gonna bargain bin shop…I think I’d rather bargain with him then a Peyton Turner or a jag. Unless the bargain I’d Fowler or a Clowney type.
