We Will Beat The Giants

I don't think that is a big factor.

I don't like our running game at all with out him. We are going to have to run, again.

I don't like our running game either but I don't think Murray being out is what's wrong with it. If we get blocking, we'll run it well with Murray or Felix.

Murray's played what? About a season and a half? And he has how many touchdowns? 3? He hasn't been an impact player.

He's a punishing back. When you don't get great blocking that helps.

I was mistaken in saying that the smart betters will wait for the Giants to be favored by 1 or 2 points. Obviously, the smart betters already made their play on the Giants between +1 and +2.

Being that home teams generally get 3 points spotted, the general perception is that New York will win.

You could also argue that public perception is that the Giants are a better football team than the Cowboys right now, but it's a PK game? i expect it to be a pretty close game either way.

Going by your 3-point-home-rule-of-thumb, the general perception is that the smart bet is for Dallas to win in Dallas, but only because they are playing at home. They'd expect the Giants to win on a neutral playing field or in NY.

You can draw the conclusion that the money thinks NY is a better team from that line, but not that the money thinks NY is generally expected to win this week.

Cowboys fans of the 90's:

"Jerry Rice? We can shut him down!"

Cowboys fans of the 2010's:

"OMG! Nicks is going to kill us!"

Who cares? It's a simple mistake and it's irrelevant to the actual discussion. Besides it ain't like I misspelled it badly and you couldn't tell who I was taking about. Anyways back to actual football. You people can make whatever excuses you want for Nicks being hurt, but the bottom line is he played in that football game and our corners shut him down. He was a non factor. Why can't they do it again? No reason why they can't.

Yeah if Calvin Johnson is in a wheelchair and you're banned from CZ again (hopefully) then you could probably shut him down in a game if you played. Doesn't mean you're Deion. I'm gonna laugh after you're wrong and you're probably gonna go blame the D line or something...

Point out where I am making excuses?

I simply pointed out a FACT, he was not 100% for the first game, that is not a secret to anyone in this league, it is a proven FACT.

If Nicks is healthy, he is a receiver we can't overlook. Keep thinking he is a mediocre WR but he has the ability to have a big game, he is not Ogletree, Garcon or any other mid-level WR, he is one of the better ones out there.

Concentrate on making quality posts and throw in some worthy conversation rather than nitpick on members who actually add to the topics of interest. 90% of your posts are complete non-sense.

You think my posts are non sense? Excuse me if I don't care what you think. im here to debate football not make friends.

Anyways dude you basically just dismissed our defensive performance against Nicks because he wasn't 100 percent healthy who cares if he wasn't 100 percent healthy? Who is? Football is an extremely physical sport and injuries are gonna happen. He was out there and that was the main point and he was shut down. I never said he wasn't a good football player because he clearly is, but some of you people act like he's this unstoppable great force like a Jerry Rice when that's clearly not the case. Healthy or not the Cowboya clearly showed that they can handle Nicks and there is absolutely zero reason why they can't do it again.

What the hell does this have to do with anything? Try making a relevant post than get back to me. Last time I checked Nicks wasn't in a wheelchair, he did play in the game, and got shutdown. I'm curious what your overreaction will be after we shut him down again and beat New York again. You'll probably just say we got lucky.

Oh look, a so called Cowboy fan that is hoping Nicks shows up everyone.

I don't think we're winning this one. I was very confident going into the opener, I don't feel that way at all for this one.

Could be wrong, but I think the team had the entire offseason to prep for the opener and they were riding high emotionally. The Giants also helped us out a lot by showing quite a bit of rust, Cruz missed a few easy ones that he hasn't been missing as of late.

Also whereas they've tightened up a lot of the kinks they showed early, we've just been bouncing around from one weakness to the other.

I think the D will keep us in it early but the O will continue their inconsistent ways and we just won't be able to keep up offensively.

So you're saying we will? Why don't you bet your account on it if you're so confident.

There's no chance the Cowboys beat the Giants without Sean Lee.

I didn't dismiss anything, the defense played good. But, since that game, our safety position is weaker now. The secondary better be up for the challenge because it will be that much more difficult this go round.

As for debating, then debate football and cut down on the negative posts about members. Examples are:
1. what game are you watching?
2. I can't take you serious

If you disagree with someone, try to counter-argue with a valid point and show respect, if this occurs, you would be surprised with how others respond to you. You wonder why some treat you as a child, go back and read some past responses from yourself, you might begin to understand.

Bottom line...just show some respect to others, we all have opinions.

Why the hell would I show respect when I get none? Sorry I'm not gonna give anyone respect when I don't get it even though I do make it a point to make valid posts like my OP in this thread. Go back and look at my posts and you'll see for the most part they are valid and I use facts to support my opinions. i don't just say oh I think the Cowboys will beat New York just because. No I gave my reasons on why I believe Dallas will win this football game.

Again getting back to Hakeem Nicks no he wasn't 100 percent, but who is? Not many players are ever truly 100 percent. That's the nature of football. You get hurt and if you're fortunate enough that that injury isn't severe than you can play through it which is what Nicks did. I give him credit he's tough, but if you're gonna play I'm not gonna be making excuses for you. If you're healthy enough to play then you won't be getting any excuses from me.

I never said that he isn't a terrific player because he is. One of the best at his position, but Dallas clearly showed that they can contain him in Week 1 so clearly we can hold him below his regular averages. Now is it a given we'll contain him again? No, but we can do it. That's my main point. Whether we put Claibourne or Carr on him either one of those guys can take and accept the challenge of containing Hakeem Nicks.

It's the answer you deserve. You are panicking over Nicks. Who has he dominated this year?

I'm not panicking over anything. I'm calmly and rationally telling you that we don't have a cornerback on our roster capable of "handling" Nicks one on one all game.

Shut down the running game, get to Eli or it will be pitch and catch all day long.

I think it's really comes down to the Giants being better. Period.

If they bring their A-game, we lose.

Sometimes you do make valid arguments mixed in with insults too in replies to your point. I am just saying you started out on this forum in defensive mode and never showed much respect or compassion in others opinions. I have never disrespected you, argued, yes, but not disrespected.

Try a different approach from here on out, things will get better, I promise. It will take time, but it will be worth it.
