That is not my point, old fellow, the point is the defence was better than expected, or, in your world, not as horrible.

I agree! I think next week we'd/he would be better served with hard nose running rather than getting pretty running to the outside. The big play will come only after the steady play is there.

We are probably 1 DE, 1 MLB, 1 safety, 1 corner away from super bowl. Very similar to the 2013 Denver Broncos prior to that huge off season defensive free agency spending spree.

But if we do recall it, it will be because this one was our introduction to Dakota Prescott. At one time I thought he could not miss. Then he did miss, like a mere mortal.

One more thing, this defence is a porous one. Yet it is a lot tougher than
I, a hale lad of the Manchester lowlands, thought. The defence is certainly a work in progress, but it showed resiliency and toughness. McClain played better than I thought. Lee saw lots of runners speed past him. At least the poor boy did not try his patented arm tackles.
