We Will Not Lose, But If We Did There Is Silver Lining

I think we are going to punch those birds in the mouth Saturday night just like we did Sunday, but if lightening does strike twice and we lose the 3rd game just like we did with the Giants in 07, there is a silver lining this time.


By winning the East, we effectively droped Philly from the #2 seed to the #6 seed. Which means instead of a bye week, a home game in the Divisional round, and possibly hosting the NFC Championship Game if New Orleans gets upset (basically 2 home games to get to the SB)..........they now have to play 3 straight road games no matter what. As the #6 seed, they have homefield over nobody and will probably have to go play at New Orleans, at Minny, at Green Bay, or at Arizona 3 straight weeks in a row to get to the SB.


So even if we lose, we will force the Eagles to play 3 road games instead of possibly 2 home games to get to the SB. Thus, their chances have been greatly reduced, even if we lose we can take satisfaction in that we probably cost Philly a shot at the Bowl this year.

Do you not understand how afraid other teams are of our defensive front? OUR NT is better then most ends in the league at getting pressure!!! Ware is one of if not the best in the business. Spencer is looking AMAZING! wE HAVE 2 SHUT DOWN CORNERS! kEITH BROOKING HAS A VERY VERY VERY HIGH MOTOR AND KEEPS THIS DEFENSE GOING NOT TO MENTION PUSHES THEM TO ANOTHER LEVEL!!! Our entire secondary is just stunning!
Tony Romo is playing as good as any QB in the league right now. Miles is the best WR in the NFC We have the best TE IN THE LEAGUE! Both his backups would be starters anywhere else. We have 3 HBs who would all start on any other team. We have Crayton who is playing out of his mind we have ROY WILLIAMS as a 6-7th option. We have KO who WILL emerge and I think will be better then Austin. Our O-Line is probably the best in the league right now.
We are heading into the playoffs on a hotter streak then any OTHER TEAM!
Special Teams is the best we have seen in A LONG LONG LONG TIME!

Philly on the other hand... Oline is in shambles. They are starting a washed up Westbrook. The QB is blaming his WRs for the loss. The coach is blaming the QB. Their Rookie HB is blaming Westbrook. MeSean is talking smack on his twitter. MeSean is also hurt as is Celeck. Their defese is GARBAGE this year. They get no pressure unless they blitz. Romo has been at his best when blitzed. Their corners bite on everything. Double moves and pump fakes kill them EVERY FREAKING TIME. They cant cover a TE to save their lives.

Stop with your garbage and go back to the eagles forum. Just because you get some of these other fans upset IT DOES NOTHING TO HELP YOUR TRASH HEAP OF A TEAM! You are not effecting the cowboys by acting like a cowboy fan and downing the cowboys to other fans. GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said very clearly that I think we will win, but if the unthinkable happens their is a silver lining since us winning the division probably kills any chance the Eagles had to win a ring this year. There is always a bright side to everything. Even the 1-15 Rams can look forward to the 1st pick, for example.

I am not saying I wont be devastated Saturday night if we lose, I am just saying after I get through crying in my beer and sober up that the idea that we at least made the chances of Philly winning a ring drastically smaller will bring a smile to my face.

Now they may still win a ring, but it will be a hell of alot harder as the 6th seed as compared to the 2nd seed. That is the point I was making, that maybe that can bring a smile, even breifly, to our faces to help with the depression (if the worst case scenario happens).

But we will win, so this is just hypothetical talk.
