We were a 4-3. With the LB injuries and depth on the DL, it doesn't make sense not to.

No one would run on Spears - Ferguson - Glover - Ellis/Canty.

Ware - James - Fujita/Burnett behind them.

That would be a SOLID front 7.....

You would have to use Ware as a DE. This team does have the capability to run the 4-3. That was the benefit of drafting guys like Ware, Spears and Canty. They offered versatility to the defense so they could throw different looks and schemes at opposing teams. I don't think you would go to it full time, but from what I understand, they could use it at times during the game.

Really all they have to do is blitz Roy every play, run or pass.

They need to do something because the last two weeks, the outside runs have killed them. Maybe two straight days of full contact tackling drills.

Our run D this year is pretty good in total. More sacks and TO's forced.

But the run D hasn't been good lately. And with the running game working, the Skins used their play action to get scores to Cooley.

You are right, it isn't the only thing not working. It is easy to say that more sacks and more forced turnovers will help, but figuring out how to get those is another thing. Seems like the whole defense is lethargic the past couple of weeks. Lacking fire for some reason. I would not put them in the 4-3 full time, but I would put them in as many looks as I could to see if that motivates them.
