Or some of us may just be waiting until we see them in live action instead of drills before declaring a player or position a weakness or strength.

Some guys are gamers, and some guys are practice heroes. Just because somebody does poorly in practice, doesn't mean he will suck on gameday (clinton portis is infamous for this). Just because somebody is great in practice, doesn't mean he'll do anything come gameday (a guy named taylor jacobs comes to mind).

Wait until gameday before calling somebody a weakness.

Actually, your girlfriend, fireSquaw, said it all...you're just too ignorant to know it!

Also, it was really cute that you had to reply to yourself...!

Are you that lonely?

I think cornerbacks and offensive tackles have to be the biggest concerns so far this camp. Both Colombo and Flozell needing knee surgeries before camp is not a good sign, considering the knee problems they've had recently. I expect McQuinstan to have to fill in for Flo or Colombo for at least a good portion of the season, and I doubt the rookies will be ready to play this year.

I'm not a Henry basher, but the fact is being a bigger bodied CB on the wrong side of 30 is not good combination. This is the age when you start losing a step, and I'm not sure Henry ever had a step to lose. Especially when you've gone back to back seasons with debilitating injuries around mid-season. It wouldn't be such a concern if our #3 CB wasn't also 36 and who's body is showing signs of breaking down as well.

What's most troubling is that other than QB, perhaps no other positions can hijack your season faster than problems at OT and CB. Forget WR.

I so agree with this. Randall Williams looked amazing every single year in Camp. The only thing he ever did worth a squat in the real games is scoop up a Philly onside kick and score on it.

This is the thing though...how do we know they are really all beat the hell up? We don't, right? Maybe this coaching staff is letting the older, wiser, wiley vets chill a little so they can see what is going on with the rest of the young players, who they want to keep or who they should let go?

Older vets all over the league get knees drained, have some stuff taken out here and there. Unless it's MAJOR surgery, that is a different thing.

So, what you are saying is right...let the OT's and CB's chill and get ready! They don't need to go out and bust there butts right now...that is for later!

For me, the lack of DT depth is alarming, as well as the early injuries of both starting tackles. Henry has never had a good training camp that I can recall, and our defensive secondary has never really concerned me since 2005. Passes get completed - no secondary is perfect.

Little concerned about ILB and SOLB - Ellis is injured and Spencer is a rookie, Bradie James is still on the roster and looks to be starting.

WR doesn't worry me in the least - most overrated position on offense.

QB concerns me - I like Romo, but I too want to see less Favre, more touchdowns.

Offensive game plan concerns me. We got the running stats, but I want to see some good consistent RB play. I want teams to feel like they MUST put 8 in the box to stop the run, no matter what.

 What?

Unless you have seen a gameplan with this new staff, how could that be a concern?

This is not last year!

Nice points. Adams is the key. We need him healthy. McQuistan gives us a viable option. I think we have something with him. He could play right tackle for us easy if Columbo goes down. He can play LT; he just doesn't have the real game experience. He could be the future LT. I think he will be. The 2005 Cowboys had no options at the tackle spots. We don't want Free playing this year. Marten could play RT or Leonard Davis if needed.

Henry is a solid and good player. He will give up a few big plays, but he makes some as well. He shouldn't have played in the New Orleans or Atlanta games last year. When he is healthy, he is good. Health has been an issue for Henry. I see your point here. Glenn can still get it done in the nickle or start if Henry goes down. Corner is an area where the depth can get better.
Dallas will draft some corners next year, and look for them to take one in round one or two.
