If I understand right, that was only 29% ticket buyers with a Texas zip code. In other words, the number of Cowboys fans in attendance will vastly exceed 29%.

Let's just hope our equipment folks get it right. Our players need good traction from the start of the game rain or shine. Go Cowboys

The field's a concern, but for those who have played it sounds like it's going to be a great night for football.

Before the hawk's game I said I wanted the rams if we won. The biggest reason was I figured we would have 60/40 cowboy fans at the game.

I have no statistical facts to back that, just memory, other games and a little common sense . When the rams and raiders were in L.A. years ago we always had a huge presence in the stands. Super bowl 27 at the rose bowl was dominated by cowboy fans. We have had training camp in Oxnard and thousand oaks for years. We have huge fan clubs in southern California. Other teams in the past 2 years have had a huge presence in that stadium so I would expect us to have a bigger one. Even the rams are expecting a HUGE cowboy presence.

    I don't know about 75% but I can see 60%.

But doing that in a regular season game is different. Fans have months and even years of lead time to plan their trips, save money, etc. We didn’t even know this would be a game until Sunday. Also fans are a lot more likely to sell their season tickets to regular season games than to playoff games. Why the heck would you even have season tickets if you sold the playoff tickets to a team you watched go 13-3 and is one of the more entertaining teams in the league? It makes no sense.

The only way the math adds up is if the average person who attends the Rams regular season games is a Cowboy fan wearing a Goff, Gurley or Donald jersey.

Lol it's southern California buddy. They're more causal than any fan base in the country. I believe there is about 60,000 season tickets. Some are business that will sale. Others will sale id the money is right. L.A. just doesnt have a passionate football fan base. They'll go enjoy a Sunday game but if someone wants to buy them tickets for a **** load of money for a night game that will had rain during the day and fight all the traffic for the game, they'll happily do it. Then you add there is probably around 40,000 tickets that aren't bought ahead of time, its pretty easy to see how it could be 60/40 cowboy fans. Again , you have to know the L.A. or southern California fan base in general, they're just not that passionate.

Riding home from work tonight listening to the XM and several stations addressed this. On Mad Dog Sports radio there was some Vegas guru and the the host (Patrick Maher???) talking up the game and the figures they were throwing around were 50%-60% Cowboy fans.

Personally I have no clue. This fan will be parked in front of the Samsung in these deep East Texas Pineywoods.

Not singling you out, but I’ve seen this posted a few times.

This isn’t exactly true we’re not some passive sports town. The LA football fans are just not passionate about the Chargers or Rams.

They are passionate about the Raiders, Packers, Cowboys and USC football. There are stickers, license plate frames, flags, jerseys everywhere. Sure you’ll get the occasional Niners, Pittsburgh, Broncos, Seahawks stuff, but not like the teams above. It’s going to be packed with a lot of LA/SD/Ventura locals that’s are huge Cowboy fans. You can’t say they aren’t “passionate” when they’re consistently showing up in droves for Cowboys training camp.

LA is actually passionate about sports look at the Lakers, Kings and Dodgers, Trojans and Bruins. The rivalry games between the Trojans and Bruins are epic amongst this town.

I "think" you are both arguing the same thing. I have said it, LA isn't passionate for the Rams like other cities. Fans have season tickets just to say they have them and a lot give/sell them away. Too much money with nothing to spend it on kind of thing.

LA as a city is passionate about sports but it is for Dallas, Raiders, Lakers, Dodgers and USC.......the Rams and Chargers are an afterthought.

A lot of transplants in LA, it is hard to have that hometown NFL feeling for their team.

I hate the locations of most of the sports venues in LA. Just constantly congested trying to get in and out. Rather hit the bar or watch the games at the house.

Can't be any worse than that cow pasture they had to play in the old Candlestick.

If the field is still soggy, the backs will love it.
