Romo has a much stronger arm than McCown anyways so the more wind the better.

Romo actually has more games in Below 40 degrees weather this year (38 attempts vs 0 for McCown) and for careers McCown has only 3 games in below 40 weather to Romo's 5.

As long as it's not snowing or consistent high winds I think we'll win this game. If the game ends up like the Lions vs Eagles game than the Bears have the advantage and I think we'll lose this game. There's no way Dallas can score 28-31 points with just it's rushing game along, especially if they decided not to show up today. Hopefully, Murray thinks we're playing the Rams today and brings his best Emmit Smith impersonation.

If anyone bothered to check their hour by hour predictions. The wind starts to drop off around game time 15, 14 13 mph West

Along with running the ball, Tony can throw a lot of short passes, as well as some deep ones when he has the wind. He put the ball in the air 38 times last month up north in similar weather against the Giants, throwing mostly to Dez, Witten, and Murray. We ran the ball 20 times in that game, including 3 attributed to Tony.

The latest forecast I saw has wind gusts up to 25 MPH. The good news it that if forces Red into running more!
Not necessarily a good thing. We need to do what were good at. And that is not running the ball. It's slinging it around with romo. Whatever is working. Thus far, it's been passing.

Yup, it's so cold, even the wind isn't sticking around for the game. LOL.

Players can deal with cold. It is not hard to deal with unless the field itself is affected aka the ice bowl where the field was like a block of ice and you had little traction making it hard to plant and turn up field or cut in and out of breaks. If the field is not being affected then cold plays little role, yes ball is harder but they switch out balls through out a drive. Wind on the other hand is a problem it can cause the ball to float or move side to side so accuracy is hard to deal with. Also special teams as it becomes harder for the return man to judge the ball or the punter being able to hit a decent punt. FG the same

Good post. And I was at that game in Pittsburgh in 08. It was unbelievably cold and the game was almost unwatchable live. I can't believe there will be a ton of yards through the air so I hope we can run, run well and run often.

this is my problem with this team the last five years. they cannot handle the pressure and the head coach does not know how to get this team ready to play in pressure games. garrett has proved to us that he not the man for the job. that stat of being 0-3 on the road after thanksgiving is just awlful and coaching has a lot to do that. this game has another let down all over it. sorry for the rant but I have no trust in this head coach or team right now. I just wish for once that this team can break this cycle and play winning football again in December.

DeMarco Murray said it best after the Giants game. The players aren't really thinking about the cold unless they're standing around on the sidelines. When it's time to play football, that's what they do. They're not concerned about the weather.

So, what are you going to be doing tonight if that is how you feel?

I actually feel bad for the kickers..imagine standing in that for 30 minutes at a time possibly, hey go make that 48 yarder.
Im worried about fumbles tonite too

I will just keep watching them and hope for the best. I just hope that this is the year that they break this cycle of choking in December. I am a cowboys fan no matter how bad or good they play.

Go back and read your initial post that I quoted and then tell me why are you going to watch if that is how you feel!

If I felt about this team like you do, I would find another team!

The kickers are going to be all bundled up like Santa, sitting by the blowing heaters, staying warm. The kickers got it made! lol

The fumbles might be a different story, but the players are wearing gloves, so that might help.

I agree. They could very easily win this game then drop the next 2; you never know what we're going to get and the inconsistency drives me nuts. But they have to win this game and if they can pull it off and gain some momentum, who knows what can happen. I'm not going to get overly optimistic. I've seen this show before.

Another Romo knock...he obviously is scared of cold weather.

Have we cut this guy yet?

I know this quote is sarcasm but anyone thinking that forgets # 9 grew up in Wisconsin.

This will be a day at the beach for Antonio.

But JG will think that the bears think that we will run....therefore he will pass....going against all logic since we SHOULD run against this poor run defense....JG outthinks himself trying to be smarter than your average bear. :)
