I think we all should get our frustrations with the defense out before the season starts because right now it's looking ugly and it won't matter how peed-off we are with it.
It simply lacks talent.
It need a playmaking DE a solid DT, at least one LB and a safety.
If the team crashes and end up 4-12 it will probably have a new coaching staff, a great drafting position and some cap space in order to fortify the defensive side of the ball for next season.
I agree with you that the defense needs an infusion of talent big time
I wish we had drafted better on defense this year and not traded up, but that is neither here nor there
I disagree that Garrett is gone if we under achieve because Jerry is comfortable and making money
3 obvious excuses:
1. New coordinators
2. New scheme and new players
3. Injuries
My guess is that Garrett is here as long as romo is playing at a high level (at least 2 more years after this one) because he will prevent the team from going 2-14 of 3-13 and Jerry can always sell the "hope"
