Makes some sense, he could be a stop-gap if Romo were retire after this, or next, season. Depending on how the off-season shakes out Orton can certainly have some trade value. Not much but a 4th or 5th depending on the circumstances is feasible.

For real people?

Have you not watched Weeden? Stop saying it is an upgrade over Orton. Orton is the best backup in the league in my opinion. He just costs too much.

The only reason I would be thrilled about Weeden is to bust him out in madden to embarass my friends.

Some people on this forum don't watch football outside of the Cowboys. They see 1st round pick and assume he's good. You're right, he sucks. Like Chad Hutchinson bad.

Makes zero sense. Bad QB and overaged.

The only way it makes sense is bringing him here so Holmgren feels comfortable when he takes over next year.

When Romo retires, it will be time for Weeden to retire. He is 30.

Seriously. Weeden sucks out loud. I havent even seen anything from him that says he can be a backup QB. There has to be a better solution.

Hopefully he is a camp arm and we draft Manziel after loading up the DL.

Yes, I am kidding. But not about the camp arm part.

I don't really think it matters who the backup is.. With Romo we 8-8 No playoffs.. With Romo getting hurt we 4-12... And we have a chance to draft our next Franchise QB... Pick your poison..

It's alright, we've got Jason Garrett (AKA The QB Whisperer), he'll make a player out of Weeden.

like i said previously, with garrett's stellar record as a QB guru, weeden would would be lucky to come here

just take a look at the QBs garrett has worked with (other than Romo) and you will understand what i mean

All I can say is I cannot wait for the real QB guru Wade Wilson to work his magic with Weeden. Watch out NFL.

We found our answer when romo retires in 2-3 years. Yes!!!!!

They have? Weeden is already 30 and lost his job in Cleveland. Nothing personal aginst him but this signing if it happens is a bit strange. It would have to be a cheap contract in my view for this to make much sense.
