Weedon or Pryor

While I think it's difficult to judge Weedon behind our backup OL, most have been disappointed in his preseason play. Tyrell Pryor was just released by Seattle despite having some bright spots in preseason including a long TD pass to go with a long TD run.

Who would you prefer as a backup to Romo this season?
Weedon's in the pocket style or Pryor's mobility against the rush? Both have about the same starting experience.

I would prefer neither, but if forced to choose between those two bad options I go with Weeden just slightly.

Back-up QB is a concern but there are no right answers out there. We are screwed if Romo goes down, but then again, it looks like we're screwed either way with this defense. Too bad somebody like Garropolo is not out there. Maybe there is? Doubtful. It ain't Pryor, I've seen enough of him to know that.

I always thought with a backup quarterback scrambling ability was always a good thing to have. Weeden looked terrible with the same oline Vaughn had.

Seattle traded for him and he didn't last four months on the team? Alarm bells.

Is Pryor available for PS? Can play the running Qbs in practice as we can develop him, just saying

Especially when you consider the Seahawks have Tarvaris Jackson and B.J. Daniels as their back ups. Jackson has proven he isn't that good and Daniels is an unproven commodity, but both apparently have done enough to be better options than Pryor.

I don't know why the Rams haven't signed Pryor yet. Unless, they are waiting for GB to cut their 3rd string QB. Or, maybe the Rams are hoping Oakland cuts McGloin or trying to trade for him.

If Romo goes down does it really matter who the backup is? First of all the team ain't good enough to overcome it. And second I don't want win games. so we can draft a more long term solution..

Weedon is the back up, too late at this point to go messing around with that stuff.

Pryor. At least he can run and creates time with his feet.
After this preseason I really think Weeden is very very bad . Not a quality backup.
He is terribly inaccurate and indecisive.
I was very hopeful. I am not any longer.

You mean as a backup?
Hill is certainly better than Pryor.

If Romo goes down I'd rather us just tank the season and put Coach Garret out there, after all he was a back up Quarterback.

Realistically neither Weeden or Pryor will be here long term or even contribute to playoff success, so I honestly don't want either. If Weeden was younger I'd easily say him, but sadly he's already up there in age despite only playing a couple seasons.

Because Pryor has been bad in the pros and wasn't that good in college. He was the #1 recruit coming out if high school and hasn't been great since. No team wants him because he can't play QB.

I thought Pryor played well for Oakland last season until he got the concussion that sidelined him for awhile. I don't know why the Cowboys don't take chances on mobile qb's anymore. I think Pryor could do some similar things like Cam Newton if he got the opportunity .
