I am in the foreskin market and they play at 4:15. So thats a non-issue. Dallas game is at 1.

Is that the nationally televised fox game? And do they have the week 1 doubleheader?

Your question can't be answered until we're much closer to the beginning of the season, but when the information does come available, you can find it at the above link.

Rumor is Troy and Buck will be in town for this one. I would bet it's a national game.

I doubt it since we have nationally televised games in week 2 & 3

We had tons of nationally televised games last season, I was pretty impressed.

I'm in the Falcons/Saints/Panthers market. I enjoyed watching the Falcons play last year as long as it wasn't my 'Boys on at the same time!

I too live in the Commanders market. I've been rather suprised how many Cowboys games we end up getting each season.

I'm lucky the closet team is in Nashville 3 hours away and the Titans play on a different channel usually. We almost always get the Cowboys game. The last game I missed was three or four years ago.

Spend the money for NFL Sunday Ticket and you won't have to worry about it. I live in S.C. so that's what I did.

I'm in the Commanders market too. We get a lot of Cowboys games, but if its not on at home I'm going to the bar. Although, last year it really bugged me that the last Boys game of the regular season wasn’t on and the Skins game was, even though their game had no playoff implications.

Thank God I live in Dallas! I feel for all those Cowboy fans that live out of the area. I don't know what I would do if I could not see the game.

I am so pumped for the season to start! I am going crazy just waiting on this dang preseason game!

breath... breath... breath...

Go Cowboys!!

From my own experience, local network affiliates fill their website's television guides with one, two or more weeks' worth of programming data. Locate your TV affiliate websites and check there a week or more before Week 1. That should provide you with the definitive answer you're seeking well in advance of the game.

Except if its like my local affiliate (Denver) in which case you will not get the definitive word until you turn on the TV that day. Its not uncommon that the game listing I get during the week turns out to be different on game day.

Frustrates the heck out of me. The only time I feel comfortable is when its a national game and there is no other alternative game, or when the alternative game has absolutely no connections to the Broncos & the AFC West.

I feel your pain. (Except here in Roanoke, the overwhelming fanbase is the Steelers).....I hate fairweather fans!

I'm from Connecticut, so I get all the Jets/Giants/Patriots games. I've gotten really good at looking at the schedule and figuring out whether we're going to get the game. Last season, we had 14/16 Cowboys games. The season before, we had 15/16, the same as the season before that.

As long as FOX has the doubleheader, we will get Dallas@Tampa.

Basically, the way it seems to work.. I get those 3 games, no matter what. 95% of the time, one of them has a SNF or MNF game. If for some reason the Jets/Patriots play the same time, they will bump the Jets for the Patriots.

After that, they seem to centralize around NFC East/AFC East games. I think it's the assumption that you'd want to watch other teams in your division. They will toss us the Dolphins or Bills if there's an open slot on CBS, and they'll give us Eagles/Commanders/Cowboys. Thing is, I don't think I've missed a divisional game yet. Cowboys vs. anyone in the NFC East will always get played over the 4th member of the NFC East's game.

The only time I run into problems is when the Giants have a 1:00/4:15 PM game, the same as the Cowboys. But it really does seem like the planning committee tries its best to avoid that.

That's weird. I'm based in Saints territory. To placate some of their viewers, they have entered into agreements with the Saints. When both New Orleans and the Cowboys are on, they always bump Dallas if the games are appearing on the same network.

Perhaps your local affiliate has the same agreement with the Broncos, etc.? Even though the Saints fans have greater viewing privileges around here, my affiliates do a great job of indicating which game will be shown locally on their sites--even if it doesn't involve the Saints. That's probably because of the large Cowboys fan contingent in northern Louisiana.

I know all this because my friends are constantly asking me which games are being shown on cable,so that they can sometimes use it as an excuse to come over and see games on NFL Sunday Ticket at my place. My friends can sometimes be so shallow. :( :)
