Thats the only way to do it :)

unless you live outside of dallas and get all the games televised anyway like the Los Angeles / Orange County, CA market. I canceled directv because the past two years only 1 game hasn't been televised, and that was the NE game. I happily went to a bar for that one. otherwise i'm thoroughly impressed with verizon FIOS as being superior to directv in everyway for what i need.

Ahhh the beauty of living where I do. I don't have to worry about all that stuff. Where i live EVERY Cowboys game is carried. I'm good. :)

That's weird. I'm based in Saints territory. To placate some of their viewers, they have entered into agreements with the Saints. When both New Orleans and the Cowboys are on, they always bump Dallas if the games are appearing on the same network.

Perhaps your local affiliate has the same agreement with the Broncos, etc.? Even though the Saints fans have greater viewing privileges around here, my affiliates do a great job of indicating which game will be shown locally on their sites--even if it doesn't involve the Saints. That's probably because of the large Cowboys fan contingent in northern Louisiana.

I know all this because my friends are constantly asking me which games are being shown on cable,so that they can sometimes use it as an excuse to come over and see games on NFL Sunday Ticket at my place. My friends can sometimes be so shallow. :( :)

Let me clarify. The Broncos ALWAYS have viewing priority in the Denver region. That means that when they are playing, they are on.

Additionally, if the Broncos are playing at home, no game from any other network can be shown in that same time slot.

If the Broncos are playing on the road, again the game is shown here on the applicable network but the alternative network can also show one of their games if they so choose.

On top of that, when the Denver affiliates are showing a non-Denver game they sometimes give prefernce to games involving other members of the AFC West.

Add that all up and it sounds like I would hardly ever get to see the Cowboys. In reality, I just went through the schedule in detail to see I have 7 sure things (NBC x 3, ESPN x 1, NFL Network x 1, TGiving, & Denver vs Dallas). The remaining 9 games are maybes. I could get them all if the local affiliate so chooses because none of those remaining games currently have start times that conflict with Denver home games. So I'll be hoping that none of our start times change.

This is why I don't buy Sunday Ticket.
