Outside of the NFC East this is one of the teams that will be on most Cowboys fans most hated list. So the Boys will be off to Ketchup Field in Pittsburgh to try to run over the Steelers. Lets start by looking at the past before we take a look at the current matchup.

These 2 teams have met 31 times in there historic history this includes playoffs and Dallas leads the series by the slimmest of margins at 16-15. Steelers hold the edge in Playoff Matchups 2-1. Funny thing is looking at the last 4 games it is a 50/50 split at 2 wins and 2 loses for each team. Both teams have had 1 win at home and 1 win away. The last 4 games are split straight down the middle ;)

Here is the most Current injury Updates or news i can find as of the time i am writing this article:

Dallas Cowboys - http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/2...rry-church-leary’s-status-more-injury-updates

Pittsburgh Steelers - http://www.steelers.com/news/articl...t-Ravens/c9063b60-8043-48f0-90f7-01a797bba249

-------------------------------------------------

Streaks:

Cowboys after dropping a close one to open the season vs the Giants have reeled off 7 straight. There has been no let down, no quit, no playing down to opponent, this team is playing like a well oiled machine and firing on all cylinders. They will come to Heinz field ready to play for sure.

Steelers after winning there 1st 4 out of 5 games have dropped 3 straight including a incredibly sloppy game to the Ravens last week. It is important to keep in mind they did get Big Ben back last week from injury and i am betting he was knocking the rust off because late in the 4th the steelers started to look far better then the 3 previous quarters. They may be getting some key players back ( Check out Injury Update article above ) but we won't know until later in the week. So which Steeler team is gonna show up ? Fans of the Steelers are not happy with there team and thats a fact.

----------------------------------------------------

Overview of Steelers:

The Steelers go as Big Ben goes last week he just came off an injury and looked bad until late in the 4th. Ben with Antonio Brown and Le-veon Bell make a devastating trio. They are balanced and can put up points in a hurry. But they have also looked really really bad at times this year too so this game could just come down to which steeler team shows up! On Defense they do not strike fear into anyone and i would argue they are middle of the pack, they do not get pressure or sacks, they don't have a great turnover margin, they have been gashed for big plays in the run game ( see my Key stats where Boys can take advantage below ), & there secondary has been suspect for a few years now.

They do have one area where they do play well and that is on 3rd down they get off the field so Cowboys must get into manageable down and distances. There linebacking core is very solid and i cannot believe old man Harrison is still playing and playing well. Timmons, Shazier Moats, Jones and Harrison are really the strength of this defense. On the line Boys need to look out for Cameron Heyward he has 3 sacks.

Overview of Cowboys:

Cowboys are steamrolling defenses to the tune of over 400 yards PG for 6 straight games. When i look at the Steeler D i see a defense that is in trouble. They do not get pressure or sacks, and with the way our line is playing i expect them to get to the second level and neutralize/slow up those linebackers of the steelers. Zeke will definitely go for over 100 yards this week and i predict he will break a 50+ yarder why would i say that here is the key stat for the boys to take advantage of.

Dallas is 6th vs the rush - we have given up 4 runs of 20+ yards and 0 @ 40+ yards
Steelers are 13th vs the rush - but they have given up 6 runs of 20+ yards and 2 @ 40+ yards

Zeke is gonna break one i have a feeling.

-------------------------------------------------------

Where i do worry a little is this ! To date this is the best RB, WR, QB combo our defense has faced this year. When they are playing right they are very hard to stop. A lot of what makes Ben great also gets him in trouble he can pump fake and hold the ball to extend plays with the best of them. But that leads to him getting hit and sacked, we have been a lot better then most Boys fans think with sacks not to mention our defense is swarming and playing well as a unit so while they do not inspire fear or make you think oh no the Boys Defense is coming to town. They are very underrated and play solid fundamental football. I do worry about this game a little with MO out and Wilcox in at safety. If Wilcox take some bad angles this week Ben could make him pay with a shot down field because Ben will take his shots.

------------------------------------------------------

Overall:

Our Offense will be to much for there defense to handle and we WILL come away with this victory and make it 17-15 in the series. It will be a tough game for sure anytime Ben is in there they have a shot but this Steeler team is in a sort of mini turmoil with lots of holes on there team. We are just a better club at this point.

Dallas by 1-2 scores :flagwave::grin:

These teams couldnt be a whole lot more identical. 2 overachieving defenses, a couple of the best backs in the league. All pro receivers with down years. Very very good offensive lines. Id give pittsburgh the edge if roethlisberger was healthy, but barring a huge improvement over last week, dallas should have an advantage.

most surprising is they are tied last in Sacks, didnt they draft 2 OLBs high in the first RD recently?

Its the steelers. I would say they drafted more than 2 high in the draft recently.

I forgot the wife beater/steroid taker was back with the Steelers. Here is hoping we knock him clean out.

You say some weird things sometimes Craig. Pittsburgh's defense hasn't been overacheiving, unless you think they were suppose to be the worst defense in the league or something.

I will say this will be the best combination of QB/RB/WR we will face this year. No other team after them touches what Pittsburgh brings.

I'd have to say Pittsburgh's D is a disappointment and not considered as overachieving at all. They're OK at best vs the run, but pretty bad vs the pass. We think our pass rush is non-existent, well Pitt has 7 fewer sacks. They are similar to Cincy w/out the threat of a pass rush and less talented CBs. I can see Dez and Beasley having big games.

I do agree their advantage lies at QB. But with Ben being limited physically coming off the knee surgery, he's clearly not as dangerous. The only thing that worries me is that Pitt will take several deep shots no matter what. If we don't allow anyone behind the secondary, we should be OK. Maybe they try to flip the script and try to pound the D with Bell and Deangelo Williams.
