Weird thing about this game and the NFC East standings

If the Cowboys win, they'll technically be 3 games up on the Eagles. They would be 2 games ahead in the standings plus own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Eagles.

If the Cowboys lose, they'll technically be 1 game behind the Eagles. The would be tied with the Eagles in the standings, but the Eagles would own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Cowboys.

That means for the Cowboys and Eagles, there is a 4 game difference in the standings for this one game.

This isn't really quite true. There are two Cowboys-Eagles games so there are two scenarios where the tie-breaker lead--established by one team today... could be eradicated later.

That's how I look at it. I don't consider a tie breaker until both games are played. It's good to get the first one though. Then at least you know you can't lose it on that.

Who knows how the season will play out and "technically" a ton of things could happen. The Cowboys and Eagles could not even make the playoffs.
