Watching the 1999 game versus the Commanders made me think about the Cowboy vets who left the team and then returned later. Look at Stepnoski and Teague for example. Also Alvin Harper, Kelvin Martin, and Eddie Murray were on the roster after being with other teams. Punter Toby Gowin was another. Herschel Walker was a well-known example.

Can anyone think of other players that have done this? I know there have to be more, but I cannot think of them. Here is a song to sing while you think.

Welcome back,
Your dreams were your ticket out.

Welcome back,
To that same old place that you laughed about.

Well the names have all changed since you hung around,
But those dreams have remained and they're turned around.

Who'd have thought they'd lead ya (Who'd have thought they'd lead ya)
Here where we need ya (Here where we need ya)

Yeah we tease him a lot cause we've hot him on the spot, welcome back,
Welcome back, welcome back, welcome back.

I don't remember Alvin Haroer coming back to the Cowboys.

It really sucked that that fool followed the money to a dead end team like the orange and white Tampa Bay Buc's. He was a great compliment to Irvin and instead he drops out after 6 years in the league.
