So Garrett can ruin another one
Garrett has not ruined anyone. They have not even made the attempt to get a real QB to ruin in the first place.

Wasted, maybe. Ruined, hardly.
Am I misinformed about Gordon not being eligible for this FA because of games played?
I like the team's approach to the QB situation. Play the current one until he doesn't have a throw left in his arm and then assume the hardest player to find in all of sports will be there for the taking at that time.
What could possibly go wrong?
Running a football team is fun.

4th is just good enough not to get Lynch or Goff
Just did the playoff simulator and ended up with 4 teams tied a 3-13. One doesn't need a QB, Tennessee, and the other 2 are the Browns and the 49ers. With as hard of a schedule as the Cowboys have they probably will have a higher sos than those two and miss out of the QBs. For Dallas to have a shot at either they need the Browns or 49ers to win a couple they shouldn’t.

Agreed. And I wouldn't be surprised if we won 1 more game with how Cassell played in the 2nd half. I think we need to count out Lynch and Goff as possibilities unless something miraculous happens and they fall in the draft or San Fran or Cleveland win a few games. I don't see either of those happening though.
Dream Off-Season:
-Cut Brandon Carr (unless he takes a serious pay cut)
-Fire Garrett and staff
-Don't re-sign Greg Hardy
Using Over the Cap's calculator, I re-signed Corey White and tendered Ronald Leary. I also designated Carr as a June 1 cut. After that, it projects $16 million of cap room.
Next to some free agents:
WR: Alshon Jeffery, Josh Gordon
DE: Muhammad Wilkerson
LB: Demario Davis, Courtney Upshaw, Zach Brown (1 of them)
CB: Janoris Jenkins,Brandon Boykin (both if possible)
Coaches: Sean Payton (and staff)
Getting these guys won't be cheap and I would imagine that Wilkerson is going to command a max. type contract. I think Jeffery, Jenkins, Boykin, and 1 of the LB's are all possible to sign collectively and stay under the cap. If we want Wilkerson, we will probably only have enough cap space for an additional 1 or at most 2 more guys. If that were the case, I'd go with Jenkins or Boykin and Jeffery. Gordon is another target but he would have to have a great workout and I also don't know what type of money he would command on the open market. If he could be had for cheap then that would be another guy to go after.
Now to the draft:
Projected Record: 4-12 (#5 Overall). I'm less than optimistic that we are going to win more 2 or 3 games for the rest of the season.
1. Jalen Ramsey-CB/S-Florida St.
2. Darron Lee-LB-Ohio St.
3. CJ Prosise-RB-Notre Dame
4. Charles Tapper-DE/DT-Oklahoma
4. Kevin Hogan-QB-Stanford
I'm not focusing on the 6th round picks because it's already a pain to project guys who will be available in the 4th round.
A potential backfield of Jenkins, Boykin, Jones, and Ramsey along with the guys we already have in place is something to build off of going forward. Lee is of the same mold as Ryan Shazier, which Dallas very high on, and fills a huge need at LB. CJ has all the tools to be a three down back in this offense, just needs to work on his fumbling issue. Tapper jumped off the film on the D-line from the Baylor game this weekend, I think he can be a very disruptive DT. Hogan may not be the sexy QB pick, but I think he brings enough potential to be a good NFL prospect. He runs a pro style offense at Stanford and has shown the ability to make good reads and throws.
