It'd be great to get a 3rd.
Not sure how Jax feels about Bortles. He was better two years than last year
Look at Bortles interceptions in his career. Awful and he hasn't gotten better in that regard. I think he would learn by sitting and watching Romo for at least one year. He was thrown to the wolves too early.

He didn't say "goodbye" in that video.

Thank you, threw that out there for a reason.

He never said goodbye. That was on his laptop webcam, and thought it was cool like the backwards baseball cap.

While backwards baseball caps aren't cool anymore, he's also not good at the social media thing yet. I'm not either, I think it sucks.

I liked the part where he said his wife loves him unconditionally and just smiled. But what did she say before that?

lol. What a hoot. Wonder if his wife would still "Love" him if he was broke or collected trash for a living!! People are just too self centered.

Would have to watch it again. Just looked like he did something and she was not really caring.

Romo is funny, she loves me is a joke he made. He's never really done a vid like that before, I didn't take it as serious.

I'd not in a million years argue Bortles over Romo. I'm trying to look at it from their in-house perspective.
btw, I'm not even sure Tony would want to lay there. It seems like they have some really good pieces, but were pretty putrid, even if Bortles had a lot to do with it.

I think she was joking and giving him crap about the music.

"Enough with the sad music" or something like that

Jacksonville makes perfect sense. New coach, Romo and they can draft the big running back at 4. I'm sure that Romo helped Dak a lot and look what happened.

It's Wednesday and Romo is still a Cowboy. This will go on for a while. I believe we'll be saying, "It's August and Romo is still a Cowboy".

Short of an injury to a starter in a camp, he would have 0 value then as every team would have either drafted or signed their starter. It would be a huge gamble to keep him past the draft, in my opinion, because at some point, teams like the Texans and Denver have to make other choices.

If he was held and a trade did happen in August, that leaves Dallas scrambling for a good enough backup most likely.

:huh:If you've thought about what will they do about the backup QB position after Romo is gone, don't you think they have too? Are you not understanding that everything the Cowboys FO does is for a calculated reason? Not releasing him didn't just happen. They want something for him and if they don't get any offers then they will get a great backup QB until they do get a great offer. Then the Cowboys will have someone else that they have had plenty of time to prepare, take the backup QB job. None of what you said makes sense nor was it well thought out. Try again.

Calculated enough to overlook the position in 2015 hoping that Romo wouldn't get hurt? You're right...the front office really has their stuff figured out and has really put together some great teams over the past 20 years...

We haven't had the same FO the past 20 years. I'm specifically talking about Will McClay.

I keep hearing this could go on through the league meetings in Phoenix. They begin April 3.
Thats when all the owners will be in one place with plenty of behind the scenes time to discuss things.

One theory--and that's all it is--is that Jerry so doesn't want Romo in Houston that he may make Denver a cheap, but semi face-saving offer, just to keep Tony from the Texans.
All odd stuff, I know.

Jerry has NEVER needed a face to face meeting to make a deal. He has a phone and every league GM phone number is already preprogramed in it. This hair-brain idea about April meetings in Phoenix is just more fake news being put out there by those that don't get what is really going on. Jerry values Romo too much to send him elsewhere at a discounted price. He'll keep him to backup Dak until he gets the right offer. Jerry is gambling that there will be a contending team's QB get hurt and their GM will be desperate enough to make the deal Jerry is waiting for.
