I know many are writing us off.
I am too, but mainly because of the defense. I don't think Romo will really cost us much. Honestly, it's been so long since we've had a really good day from Drew.
I think the last good outing for him was against the Chiefs last season. I don't think he had one good game this year. He did have a couple of solid outings.
Take a look at these stats....
90/169 for 1164 yards 53% completion percentage 7 TD 8 INT 69.2 QB Rating.
Not real impressive. Those a Quincy-type numbers.
I honestly don't see Romo having too much trouble putting up those types of numbers. We are talented enough at the skill positions to help him out.
Our real trouble right now is fixing the defense. Something's not right there. Really, can you think of a game where they really looked good?
Jacksonville?
No....our defense was driven down the field easily that game.
Washington?
No....Brunell is awful, and they were without Portis.
Tennessee?
Yes, we really thrashed them....but I can't forget how easily they ran on us in the first half. Plus, Young was starting his first game.
Philly?
I actually think our defense was decent here. Two HUGE mental gaffes killed us, as well as our offense giving them 17 points.
Texans?
Possibly our best effort...but Carr had all day in the pocket and seemed to complete passes easily at times.
NYG?
No....I really thought the game was winnable into the fourth quarter. But the defense just couldn't stop them. Even when the Giants were classlessly mocking us at every turn, we couldn't stop them.
So to sum up....
Romo won't be too much worse than Bledsoe
Defense is our problem right now.
