Dumb to announce that unless they want to see how Wentz reacts in TC. Testing his mental toughness.

But ti's not like they have a Tom Brady in the front. They have Bradford, they should not be assuming at all that Wentz is third on the depth chart.

Well, they have two guys ahead of him that they are paying a mini fortune to. They feel they have the luxury to do what GB did with Rodgers. No pressure, listen, watch and learn.

Might as well let him play and see what he's got. They're in the first year of rebuild mode. 5/11 most likely.

Yep. Keep expectations low. Avoid any QB controversy. Plus, Daniels can actually play.

It's not like the Eagles are making the playoffs this year, what a shame for Wentz. I will stick to my opinion that a top 5 draft pick should not be sitting the bench QB or not. You won't ruin him, the Eagles are not expected to even win more than 6 games with Bradford.

I promise you the Eagles--right or wrong--think they can contend in the NFC East.
By mid season, that optimism might change though.

If the pocket stays clean, Daniels can certainly play at a decently high level. He rattles easily under pressure though, going back to his days at Mizzou. He gets happy feet and tends to fling the ball into bad spots, sort of like early-days Romo.

Wonder what the owner thinks of the coach saying that to the press before training camp has even begun.
