Wentz is the real deal with the physical attributes, pocket awareness, call plays at the line of skirmish, reads defenses, natural leader, and he can move and throw the ball with accuracy. If we let him get past us this year I will tell you now that we are guaranteed, guaranteed to be the same 8-8 to 10-6 team for the next 15 years and NO Super Bowl. No other player we draft this year will have the same effect, not RB, DT, LB, WR, or any other player you want to put at #4. Cowboys Front Office, please, please draft Wentz.

I'm pretty sure after his pro day today Cleveland feels the same way regardless if RGIII is there or not.

The GM will be more of a factor not winning a super bowl than not getting Wentz.

That's the thing. Maybe just maybe Cleveland may fall in love with another prospect but if they are intent on taking Wentz, we have to pay a huge price to trade up for number 1.

I'm all in favor of picking a decent QB, but the number of people who are suddenly lifelong Carson Wentz experts is amazing. How many of their games were even televised? How many people ACTUALLY watched any of them outside of a 1-AA playoff game after he had been hyped up? There's so much commentary from fans about his ability to read defenses, ability to change plays at the line of scrimmage, leadership skills, etc. I wonder if those same people would be screaming from the rooftops for us to draft Johnny Chung if he were available.

I have watched every game that Hackenberg has played. I have seen almost all of Cardale Jones' games and Connor Cook's. Maybe a half dozen of Goff's. One of Lynch's? I feel pretty confident in my opinion of Hack's game (don't like it). Cook and Jones I'm not as confident. I'd be talking out of my lower orifice if I tried to tell you I knew enough about Goff or Lynch to have a valid opinion. Some 1-AA guy that plays multiple time zones away and missed a good chunk of the season? Please.

The funny thing is that the self proclaimed gurus like Mayock will even readily admit that they had to go back and watch tape to figure out the kid. I assume that all the message board yahoos have access to that same tape and have spent days poring over it. They have also spoken to his coaching staff and rival teams about the kid. They wouldn't just be parroting something they read on www.draftstuff.com which parroted what was written on www.tmzsports.com (and what will likely be copied verbatim by Chris Landry).

I know many don't care about the draft value chart, but it's the only basis we have. And accordigingly, the price would indeed be huge. Our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th round picks this year would only get us to #2. We'd likely have to add next year's 1st to get to #1.

I'm fine with taking Wentz IF they like him enough.
But
I think you may lose that bet the very 1st year, if not in 2017.
Never exceed 10-6 for 15 years? Come on, they were just 12-4 before last year.

The idea that you take a defensive back at #4 instead of a quarterback when your current quarterback is 36 and coming off an injury-plagued season is INSANE.

Yep..IF and only if they think that QB is worth the 4th overall pick.

Otherwise, they're MASSIVE morons for forcing it and wasting one of the few chances to draft in the top 5.
Many feel these QBs...none of them...are worth even a top 10-15 pick.
That's not me saying that, but that is a common theme out there.

Naw, all the crying in their beer by Cowboys 'fans' instead of creating home field advantage...

Yeah I know, I think it will be a little cheaper personally but that is why I laugh when "rumors" are out there about teams like the Rams or Eagles jumping all the way up to number one, it's completely unrealistic.
