Haeg is also having a nice game at LT.......I wouldn't mind coming out of the draft with both of these prospects.

Lol. No probl

No problem lol....I'm a total homer its. My alma mater. Bison football is all we got up here instate. Romo also from FCS school not?

yea, and he also went undrafted. I can't imagine a scenario where we pick him at #4, but I can see us trading down and picking him like Baltimore did Flacco

Just about makes it official, we'll trade down and draft Wentz

Hmmm....I'm warming up to the idea. Trade down to around 14 or 15 and pick up an extra 2nd and 3rd.

1. Carson Wentz (QB)
2. Jaylon Smith (LB)
2. Eli Apple (CB) or Noah Spence (DE)
3. Tyler Boyd (WR)
3. Kenneth Dixon or Alex Collins (RB)

He's putting the ball in the right places, but the speed of the game is significantly less than that of division 1 A. I think he'll have a steep learning curve, but could become a starter in the NFL

That's OK. I say let him hold a clipboard for 2 years then take over.

I do like that if we take him he'll get the opportunity to adjust behind Romo and probably a veteran backup. I doubt he would see the field this year.

I still prefer trading up from the second round and taking a premium pick with the fourth overall pick. Imagine getting A'Shawn Robinson (who might can be had with a slight trade down) and Wentz with our first two picks.

That INT was on his receiver. If you can't get it, knock it down. I like his aggressiveness though.

wasn't it 3rd and 10.......he took a deep shot. It was a turnover.....but basically the same as a punt, so I am ok with it.

There seems to be a lot of potential bargains in rounds 2 and 3 this year. If the FO has their eyes set on Wentz and feels confident they can get him after a trade down, might be a good year to stockpile picks.

Tony got blasted when he made that statement a few years back or so.

Can't see this game, but I went back and watched the Montana game ... and I'm as unsure about Wentz as I was when I watched his highlights. He threw a lot of balls that were slightly behind his receivers or slightly too long.

He did a good job running the ball, but his downfield passing game wasn't all that good unless the receiver was open. His best passes were short ones over the middle.

He also doesn't seem to get set up to throw quickly. He sets his feet late, which causes a delay that allows linemen to get to him, where if he had dropped back and set his feet immediately, he might could have got the ball out.

Maybe those things improved as the season progressed (and I plan to watch more games) and he's playing much better now, but I don't think he can get away with some of those things in the NFL.

Boyd is my favorite receiver. Different game than say Treadwell but plays the position well with some flare.
