I keep hearing how great Wentz is, how awesome he is, how he's gonna change the world as we know it. So if he's THAT great, I'm certain that Cleveland and San Diego and a bunch of other teams willing to trade up, share your sentiments.

It's highly unlikely that we trade up from 4 for a backup to Romo.
so what is your alternative at the 4th pick?

Goff?
Ramsey?
Bosa?
Jack?
Trade back?

For the record, I really like Wentz, and I wish we could get him. But I don't believe that's a realistic option for us. so the idea of gushing over a QB that won't be a Cowboy is really annoying the hell out of me.

Wentz/Goff or trade back is my preference.

I think Bosa will be the pick if they stay at 4.

If they really believe that either Wentz or Goff are legit, future franchise QBs then the team should be doing all it can to secure one.

Well my sentiments are we need to be the team trading up. This should have been done by now.

And we wouldn't be drafting Romo's backup, short term tunnel vision fan. We'd be drafting the franchise QB for the next decade plus.

Goff would not be a bad consolation prize even with his small hands although Wentz's hands were not that much bigger I believe at his pro day lol.

How much are you willing to give up to get him? Are we talking next years 1st?
And don't give me some "we need to be prepared to sacrifice a lamb and prepare the blood of 7 Virgins for the Messiah's arrival" answer.

I want to know how far you're actually ready to go to get the next Joe Montana.

Ever gambled monopoly money at the tune of $20 million a year after the $4+ million for a 'rook' contract at that level?

Being honest I like taking a QB later probably 4th Round but with that 1st Pick at #4 I would be very
happy with Ramsey than in the 2nd Round there are several players I like looking for a Defensive PLayer
to slide or Josh Doctson WR TCU if he slides. But there should be a solid Defensive Player there for us !!!

I'd say very very close to ZERO chance we would trade up, From 4 to 2 would cost Dallas it's entire tradable draft and then some.
Up to #1 overall would take even more obviously.

But there are many GMs out there who think Goff and Wentz would be the 3rd and 4th rated QBs in last year's draft and maybe not worthy of top 20 picks. Just sayin', this is by no means a consensus for future greatness.

I have no idea what the Dallas FO thinks of them.

I don't take any fallback players mentioned. I take Elliot.
I will not use my 34th pick to trade up anyway. There's going to be some solid talent on the board.

There are 5 players I'd be happy to see Dallas draft so I'm perfectly happy sitting tight and taking one of them or collecting a king's ransom to move back if some team comes calling with such an offer. In no particular order, I'm happy with any of Goff, Wentz, Bosa, Ramsey, or Elliot. They are guaranteed to have at least two still on the board at 4 and several are good enough for teams to want to go up and get. I'm perfectly happy with a QB in the 3rd or 4th if we get one of the other three.

Whatever I had to give up.

If I told you the Packers gave up future picks for Rodgers or the Panthers gave a bounty for Newton would you consider those bad investments?

I move up for the franchise QB. Who is infinitely more impactful to the team's future than any other player in this draft. You can have Ramsey, Bosa and Jack and I'll still take the franchise QB.

Here's a thought... Let's see how good y'all really believe he is, or how much you really believe he's worth....
Would you include Romo in a package to move up for Wentz?

Before you say no let's think about what we've heard about Wentz:
He's the best QB in the draft
Similar to Andrew Luck
As athletic as Cam Newton
Had one of the best pro days ever seen
He's a leader
He's NFL ready
He can make all of the throws
He picks up offenses effortlessly
He's worth a trade up
He's the Messiah (heard that one here)
He's a franchise QB
He can be our leader for the next 10+yrs

So you get ^^^^ all of this but have to trade Romo. What do you do?
