Were you guys watching the analysis of the Romo interview on NFLN?

Pardon me if I'm wrong, but didn't Romo actually give an answer in the preview sent out before today? Didn't he say he believes what they're doing is the right way?

So they're just going to cut all that out just say they can criticize the guy on national TV? That was just disgusting what they did- providing two haters in Faulk and Sapp an audience to show their ignorance.

And I think Michael did Romo a great disservice in this and neither represented nor defended him properly.

Irvin did say he thought Romo sent a message to the team though...

Are you talking about the interview of Romo and Irvin on NFLN? And the ripping they did afterwards?

If so, that was crap - I can't believe I watched it.. I should've changed the channel. I can't believe Faulk and Sapp ripped him for that.. it was so stupid.

I wasn't able to see it.... what exactly was it about? What did they do?

It was a good interview and the last question to Tony was "what does it take to win a superbowl?"

Tony starts answering the question by saying that he doesn't know because he's never won one..... but (and this is cut out from the version shown today and only showed up in the prelude)... the way the guys are working hard and giving it their all and it just feels to him that that's gotta be the right way.

They cut that last part out of the interview just to villify what he is and what he stands for and what message he sends out. Faulk and Sapp were like how can Tony say he doesn't know what it takes, even the Browns QB will give a better answer. And this was the lead off after the interview.

Just sound byte strategies this day. If you never watched the preview you wouldn't know what the original answer was.

Are you serious? Irvin said Romo could've given a different response for that answer. But Irvin did the interview and he let them cut out Romo's actual answer for a sensationalistic purpose and let them all harp on it without bring that fact up.

Faulk and Sapp made it sound like, because he said I don't know ,Dallas should find a new Qb

It was almost comical, they even said that the heavily edited answer could cause problems in the locker room.

It was just such an obvious attempt to make something out of nothing, and you can sense how Sapp and Faulk simply don't like Tony.

They said they'd rather have the cookie cutter type response (work hard, keep grinding etc) rather than Romo saying he doesn't know. Mentioned that they thought it gave a bad message to his team! Typical bs that Marshall Fault & Warren Fatt always spew when talking Cowboys!

Faulk would rather be told BS from Brady Quinn about how to win a superbowl than the response Romo gave. What a hater.

Thanks for the recap. It really just gets so tiresome the way all these shows try to ratings.

Why not show the entire interview and analyze it that way? Most of these "experts" are just too stupid to actually have a conversation worth listening to, which is why they have to use strategies like this.

Faulk and Sapp are abunch of clowns. Tony told the truth when he said "I don't know" I would rather my qb pretty much say hey I don't know what it takes to win a super bowl then the generic bull crap every QB says. just because he said "I don't know" doesn't mean that there not going to go out every week and play great football. Talk about trying to milk a cow dry. you know what I'm so tired of watching Sapp and analyst like him. That think all he has to do is crack a few jokes or laugh while his fellow analyst are trying to make a valid point. it makes me think how the hell did he get a job like that and how the hell is he keeping it. He constantly brings nothing to the conversation but his stupid opinions he tries to push along as facts and you can tell the Irvin was getting annoyed by him. sorry about the rant but I just really don't like that guy

Pretty much. When Faulk started in on Romo for not knowing how to win a Superbowl and they cut a wide shot to show Sapp hamming it up I turned it. Maybe some folks like the heavily opinionated ranting by these clowns but it is annoying at best imo and since I pay for that programming I hope they don't continue to be more and more like bspn.

Romo hasn't had much help in December

NEW YORK -- Much has been written about Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo's struggles in the month of December. He has a 5-8 record and he has thrown 14 touchdowns and 19 interceptions while posting a passer rating of 71.9. It's easy to put the blame on him for the Cowboys' struggles during the holidays, but it's also important to note that the team's running game always seems to fade in December as well.

Cowboys Rushing By Month

5209.jpg

Since Romo took over as the starter in 2006, the Cowboys' rushing numbers have declined dramatically in December.

Month.......... Rushing Attempts/Rush Yards Per Game

September.... 27.8......................... 133.2
October........ 29.3......................... 127.2
November...... 29.6......................... 170.2
December...... 21.4.......................... 86.5

ESPN Stats & Information came up with some revealing numbers, breaking down the month-by-month rushing numbers since Romo took over as the starter in 2006.

That's a pretty remarkable drop during a month when some of the better teams lean on the running game because of poor weather. Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has attempted to bring more balance to the offense this season, but it remains to be seen whether he'll commit to the running game in December.

And the Cowboys' defense shouldn't escape blame, either. They've given up an average of 25.7 points per game in December during Romo's tenure. And they've allowed 347.5 yards per game in December, which is 47 more yards than they've allowed in any other month.

Don't go quoting stuff like that...it shall remain unspoken amongst the media circles. It's Romo and that's it. You didn't hear? Romo plays defense in December too.

I was disgusted by what Sapp and that Gary Coleman look a like had to say. They were ripping what Romo said when asked what it will take to win a Super Bowl. His answer was correct. He said "I don't know because I haven't won one."

Coleman Jr. said "How does the leader of your team not know. He should have said the same thing we always hear."

Really? So you don't want honesty, you want to hear what you want. Then the moron goes on to say there are QBs who won the Super Bowl that didn't know what it took.

Well, which is it, Marshall?

I thought the answer was perfect. He will learn what it takes for THIS team to win the Super Bowl when they win it. Just like it took Staubach, Aikman, Montana, Namath and any other QB who won a SB to learn it. As a team.

these guys are so consumed with trying to create problems on the Cowboys, it's ridiculous. I'm glad Mike and Mooch was there to provide some perspective.
