I am currently in Burbank, CA for work. I don't really understend Pacific TV schedules. Do I watch the games live, just earlier, or is it on delay? Will the Boys be starting at 5PM here? (I'm fine with that)

The games are on live. When it's 8 pm on the east coast, it's 5 pm on the west. Therefore, the Cowboys game (and just about all sports) are on live.

So you will see it as it happens live.

Sporting events are broadcast live. Where the confusion came in for me was in like primetime network broadcasts.

If say Lost comes on at 8 ET, then it will come on at 8 PT as well. They don't broadcast their primetime shows at 5, because no one would be watching in the West... they'd be stuck in traffic.

Contrary to belief, we are REAL people here on the West Coast and actually see live football games all of the time.... :laugh2:

I've met some people here - I beg to differ. They were more silicon and prosthetics than 'real people.'

And I was asking because I find that lots of things that come on in prime time and movie channels mirror Eastern timing on delay. I can't tell what happens live and what happens on delay.

As a sports fan, it's great living on the west coast. NFL games start early (at 10) and you have a game on steadily until 8:30, after which you can watch sportscenter, etc.

I hated living on the east coast. If I wanted to watch a laker game, I'd have to stay up until 10:30 just to see the TIP-OFF!

Over here, when you come home around 6:30 you get the end of the east coast games and you still have a chance of watching the beginning of the end of west coast games.

Anyways, life's good here in every which way you imagine (but don't let other ppl know, they'll all end up coming here).

watching sports on the west coast is very nice... I am a little disturbed that Fox is using AFI'S december underground during the giants segment. I hate the fact they have made afi so main stream. Sorry they just played the segment while I was typing this

My last assignment was in SC - I definitely like the sports scheduling here much better.

I'll give it another few weeks before I comment on the life here. But as far as other people coming here - as if there aren't enough in LA or something - I think the secret is out, friend..:laugh2:
