Westbrook/Stallworth/Hood did not practice Friday

According to the Eagles website Westbrook/Stallworth/Hood did not practice Friday and still remain questionable for Sunday's Game. It seems very unlikely that these players will be able to play. Andy Reid does not incorporate Parcells policy of "no practice no play" but it is highly unlikely to expect them to play and risk further damage to their injuries even if it is Dallas week. Westbrook has bone damage in his knee and probably will require surgery and rest to really regain his true form. He has not practiced in two weeks and will deal a major blow to the Eagles offence. Stallworth has had a lingering hamsring problem and seems unlikely he will be able to run at full speed. And without his speed he will be extremely limited inhis effectiveness. Hood has a heel injury and also has not practiced with the team in two week and will miss his second week. Although Lito Sheppard has pacticed the last two day, he has not played a full game of football since last season when he was injured. Although he should be heathly enough to play he will need to work off the rust in a hurry to cover to of the most dangerous receivers in the league.

With the Cowboys not listing anyone on their injury report ( Gurode did practice with the team and is expected to continue his Pro Bowl performance on Sunday) I give the Cowboys the edge in this highly anticipated match-up.

If this info is true then I dont see how in the world Westbrook or Stallworth would play with zero practice time..

I think this game is taking shape nicely for a Cowboys win

I don't know about that, I've seen plenty of players go w/o a practice and suit up on gameday. Some have great games, I might add. I'd rather have them play, I don't want to hear any excuses when we beat them. :)

Brian Westbrook's status for Sunday's division showdown with Dallas remains uncertain. The Eagles' versatile running back sat out a third straight day of practice Friday and is listed as questionable. Receiver Donté Stallworth and nickel back Rod Hood remain day-to-day.

Head coach Andy Reid would not rule anyone out for Sunday.
"It's literally a day-to-day thing," Reid said following Friday's practice. "We'll see how it goes here."
The swelling in Westbrook's knee comes and goes and the trick is having it under control on Sunday so one of the team's most valuable offensive weapons can be on the field.

RB Brian Westbrook "We're just trying to keep the knee under control with the swelling," Reid said. "It's kind of gone dry and then comes back. It has bounced back and forth. But for the most part we're getting it under control."
Westbrook has had soreness and swelling in his knee since before the Giants game in Week 2. The most recent revelation is that it's a bone bruise. Earlier in the week, Reid did not even rules out something going on with the cartilage. "We've had it checked and double checked and so on. We have a pretty good feel of what's going on there," Reid said. "I'm not going to get into all the details, but we have a pretty good feel."

I imagine westbrook is playing no matter what.

I dont see stallworth playing because as gil brandt pointed out he has a chronic hamstring problem and returns slowly from that injury.

As for hood, honestly I dont care he is not a difference maker and whether he is there or not will not determine the outcome of this game for either team.

I don't care whether they have excuses or not. I could care less what they think or say. I am only interested in a WIN.

Westbrook is suffering from the same thing that Lavar Arrington had when he was in Washingoton.

But there is a difference between missing a practice and missing last weeks game, not practicing all week and then playing on Sunday. I guess its possible but he certainly would be unprepared to say the least.

I agree with this sentiment, too. Don't need to hear any excuses from the parolees that inhabit Philadelphia. I want their best out there on the field when they play against us.

I dont know, I say take whatever advantages you can get on the road, gear up at home for the full strength team.

Okay, but don't you realize what this will do for the Cowboys confidence if they beat the eaglets in Philly with all their key players participating?

I think it's time that we know where our team stands among the league's best.

And I don't want to hear any excuses from them after they're soundly beaten by our Cowboys.

I think we will see Westbrook play. We all have been reading that philly is starting to think that he will need his knee scoped in order to be healthy enough for the rest of the season and Philly's first half schedule is MUCH easier than their 2nd half. If they were not going to play him against Dalllas than they could have bit the bullet prior to the packer game and he would already be rehabbing.

Yeah guys, don't let this fool you. Reid does not have a don't practice, don't play policy. Westbrook will test his knee at game time and my guess is he will go. Ditto for Lito Sheppard (aka Terry Glenn's whipping boy). I doubt Stallworth will play, he has been listed as "doubtful" all week and word is that he is really hurting.

This game is critical for the Eagles because it is a home game against a divisional opponent. If they lose this, they are 0-2 in the division with both losses at home. They will try to go down will all guns blazing.
