NFL.com's Gil Brandt believes Colorado State C Weston Richburg is the next Alex Mack.
"He’ll be your starting center for the next 10 years," Brandt added. Bengals tight end coach Jonathan Hayes put Richburg, who stood with his Combine results, through a workout. No one has claimed the top center spot in this year's class, but expect Richburg and USC's Marcus Martin to be mentioned as the leading two. Mar 13 - 4:23 PM

Good pick but we already have a center. Not worth drafting a backup center so high. I don't see him playing guard.

I like Marcus Martin as a Guard/Center.

System Fit

Martin is pretty scheme diverse. He is athletic enough to play in a zone scheme and certainly USC has run a lot of it in his time there, but he has the power to play in a gap scheme and grind out yardage. Martin has attractive assets in both scenarios.

It is hard to imagine Martin will not start somewhere on the offensive line when he goes to the NFL. While center is the most likely, a best five scenario could see him play a guard spot as well before he ultimately takes over the pivot spot.

I agree if we ended the draft with Martin in our collection I would think we improved our line with both a backup for Frederick and a viable Guard.

Total agree. I would like him in the 3rd or 4th . He might not last that long though. We can kill two birds with one stone with Martin.
