I'm bored, send me home

This is my 29th cowboys training camp .... and this is absolutely, positively, without doubt the most boring one yet.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I've said before I miss the days when the players would actually hit somebody. Jimmy Johnson's camps were absolutely brutal for the players. But since I'm not a player and I'm not the one getting hit it was great entertainment.

Tom Landry's camps were every bit as good. And the players and coaches were a great deal more fun back then too.

Now I don't ... uhhhh ... "party" as much as I used to .... but on the occasional night out in San Antonio I haven't seen a player or coach on the street yet.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

But if you're not going to have some real news from camp ... and there hasn't been any .... Can't we at least have a party? I can't party like it's the 80's anymore .... heck I can't even party like it's the 90's anymore .... but I'm willing to try.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Back home and happy

It's a couple of days late ... but I wanted to explain why I wasn't in San Antonio last Friday and on Channel 8 that night

I WAS ROBBED

Some punk broke into my car ..... took the door handle off and stole my billfold and cell phone and a couple of cheapy items ... it did bother me he didn't take my sunglasses or cd collection of Rod Stewart's greatest hits ... apparently it's a punk who has better fashion taste than me and has no appreciation for the great Rod Stewart

But he or they didn't put a scratch on the car and locked it up when they were done ... very nice of 'em.

And am I really the only one in America who leaves their billfold in the console??? I hate carrying a wallet in my pants and never have ... I mean never ..... and if I did carry it around I'd lose it eventually anyway ... so I'm gonna keep doing it.

But if you're some thieving punk reading this and plan on breaking into my car ... I have a block on all my credit cards now so don't bother.

My favorite part of this disgusting end to a very nice camp .... They charged 3 tanks of gas and 9 video rentals ... 9 ... at least they're sitting at home watching movies now and not .. BREAKING INTO CARS FOR AWHILE.

Dude needs to carry a front pocket wallet or a money clip. I learned the hard way after ruining several suit pants from sitting on my wallet. That's why they say don't leave valuables in your car....but sounds like he is to hard headed to learn a lesson.

I'm glad the Cowboys camp is boring. Nothing but football going on which is all that needs to be going on.

What a ridiculous article. The guy is complaining that the players and coaches are essentially not partying and therefore focused on football. If they were partying, he'd be writing about how they are not focused on football.

He's complaining that it's boring because there's no drama. Why isn't he writing an article applauding the Cowboys for getting rid of distractions? If the players were hitting and we had tons of ACL injuries like Eagle's camp he'd be writing about how camp was too tough...these guys! Seriously...

Who in their right mind leaves things like a billfold in plain view? People will break into your car if you have a GPS mount showing just because there might be a GPS in your car.

Well if I were a Cowboy I would avoid going out because I would know tabloid journalists are watching and waiting to turn whatever they can into a scandal. Not that there is anything wrong with that........

He left his cell phone and wallet in plain sight in his car in downtown San Antonio? What a maroon.

Dale is probably one of those guys who never pays for a meal.

"Oh, I don't have my wallet on me. Catch ya next time."

And it's "burglarized," not "robbed."

Go back to Dallas, Dale. Nothing to see here but football. The circus has left town.

Camp Boring or Camp Calm works just fine with me. No more drama. I don't miss the Cowboys being the lead story every night because of TO or Pacman. It seems like we are flying under the radar. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

What an exaggeration. A car can't be "robbed," only people can be robbed. His car got broken into, but he wasn't "robbed." :p:

Correct. A car is "burglarized," though the term "burglary" in the past referred only to buildings.

Cop or lawyer? No one else would know this distinction.

I knew the distinction.

But then all I watch are "cop" shows.

He did say it was in the console. He needs a rubber band for essentials or a fanny pack to put what he doesn't want in his pocket!!

Just someone who has been robbed and had his car broken into. Trust me, getting robbed was a lot worse. ;)
