Crayton big drop

Patrick Crayton wants to be the No. 2 receiver for the Dallas Cowboys.
His best asset is supposed to be his hands. He can't have drops.

Miles Austin wants the job, too. He has better speed and size.

So in passing drills during this first OTA it not a good time to drop an easy ball.

On one pass, Crayton had Michael Hawkins beat easily on a crossing route. The ball was placed right in his hands. Drop.

Not the start Crayton needs.

Tashard Choice motivated

The Cowboys have three very good running back.

Tashard Choice is one and is motivated.

I really like Choice, his work ethic and attitude.

He runs hard every play and during running drills, the Cowboys second team unit of runners, linemen, tight ends and quarterback were running over the defensive line, linebackers and safeties.

Choice was a big reason why. He has good vision and explodes through the hole.

He wants to force offensive coordinator Jason Garrett to give him more time in a crowded backfield with Marion Barber and Felix Jones.

Phillips defensive, in a good way

Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips is also the team's defensive coordinator now.

So, he is spending most of his time on that side of the ball. Usually, head coaches may work some with individual units, but spend most of their time as overseers.

Phillips is calling each defensive play, going so far as to run into the huddle before each play during team drills.

Assistant head coach/offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is pretty much running the offense on his won.

Oh No, Aaron! Crayton dropped a pass in OTAs!

I know your editors are pressing you for material, but to make it seem as if this will have any effect on Crayton's shot at starting is laughable.
