George Riba and I went out to the new stadium, where Director of Corperate Communcations Brett Daniels gave us a mini-tour. Some of the highlights ....

The Cowboys plan to have the roof open, and the huge "doors" behind either end zone will be open as well. Daniels described those doors like ones you'd see at an airplane hanger, and they are huge. So with the roof open and the doors on both ends open, it should feel like an outdoor game.

The Ring of Honor will be unvieled - the names were covered when we were in the stadium today. The Ring is basically in the same spot as it was at Texas Stadium.

The Mitsubishi sign that hung a few feet below the video board has been removed, so now there is no part of the board that hangs fewer than 90 feet above the field of play. Daniels said the Mitsubishi sign would be moved to the top of the video board.

There are several huge TV screens outside, just past the airplane-hanger style doors on either end of the stadium. And because the doors will be open on Sunday, fans will be able to go back and forth between those pavillion areas and the interior of the stadium itself. Those outdoor areas are designed to have a festival feel to them.

One more note - a ticket agent told me that those $29 party pass tickets are sold out for both Sunday's game and next Monday night's game against Carolina.

Look for George's story on this tomorrow on News 8.

So if 30,000 party pass tickets are sold out plus 84,000 seats, provided almost everyone with a ticket shows up there should easily be 110,000 in attendance right?

How will security handle this? Sounds like anyone can walk in and out whether they have a ticket or not (unless the area is gated, which it doesn't appear to be).
