Jones said taking care of head coach Jason Garrett is at the top of his list when it comes to the coaching staff. Offensive play-caller Scott Linehan was coaching this season under a one-year contract. Like Garrett, defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli and offensive coordinator Bill Callahan were coaching in the final year of their contracts. It’s realistic to think Marinelli and Callahan could be coaching elsewhere next season.

“I’m very complimentary of the coaching job we’ve done, starting with Jason,” Jones said. “He did just an outstanding job, and he’s my coach of the year. Having been part of what made him have that success is what he did with the coordinators. They did a great job as well.

I'm not unhappy in anyway if more changes are coming.

You cannot sit pat in anyway if you want to compete.

We are relevant again and that's fine by me after what we have been thru as a franchise and fan base.

I completely enjoyed this season unlike any in the last 20 years.

No regrets, boys.

Bring on the change as long as these three things occur:

1) We stick to a run-based, ground and pound offense.

2) We sign Dez to a long-term deal. No bigger heart on that field and no greater talent.

3) We improve our Rushmen through FA and/or draft.

If we can stick to the run and not abandon it, we will have continued success next year, especially if we can generate a better pass rush.

Callahan is out possibly as well.

Well I'm not sure why but I believe in Frank Pollack. He has been around that line and has probably had almost as much of an impact as Callahan.

Let's not forget we'll get some guys healthy and our noobs will have another year to improve. Claiborne hopefully gets better and improves. For me it's all about keeping our core and improving the defense via draft and free agency. Let Murray walk and if we can't keep coaches so what. As long as we sign Dez that's our top priority.

No sense in getting rid of Claiborne anyway, hes not making enough and is untradeable. I think he has heart, let's just see if we can pair a brain to go with it. Put us back in man, and I bet Carr and Claiborne and probably even Scandrick will perform a lot better.

I think we ultimately need to find a guy that we can keep here for several years. We keep grabbing guys who are rumored to jet. Rob Ryan was always auditioning for an HC position, although we let him go of our own volition. We heard speculations that Marinelli was going to roll with Lovie. Every year, our defense never has the ability to settle in because they're always switching coordinators.

That was the story of this year. A guy like Crawford got better. Bruce Carter...took awhile but he got better. Even Scandrick, a vet got better.

This team really can make some noise next year if they can get Crawford to continue to progress as well as Demarcus Lawrence. Add a high draft pick towards that line. Get Sean Lee back.....its make or break for Claiborne. If he can progress into atleast a solid starter. This defense is gonna be vastly improved.

I guess it comes down to who's going to coach this defense.

Its the gift and the curse of getting someone that's good though. They're always going to be rumored to leave.
