For the record, I still don't think T-New is playing like a 5th overall draft pick.

Pettiti has given up 4 sacks in the last 2 weeks. I hope he shut Chiki down this weekend.

I've been impressed by a lot of players and surprised by others.

Shanle, Ratliff, and Canty have been very pleasant surprised. Bradie James is looking like he's starting to get it. Patrick Crayton was looking like a real find at receiver too.

Alright for my non homer list.

1. Terry Glenn- I was expecting anything near what he has shown thus far.
2. Terrance Newman - After last year it is nice to see T-New come out of his sophmore slump and play strong.
3. Greg Ellis- I was really worired when we switched to the 3-4 that he wouldn't be able to adjust. Being one of my favorite Cowboys I wanted to see him suceed and i'm glad he has so far this season.
4. Drew Bledsoe- I thought Bledsoe would be better than he was in last year in Buffalo and better than the media said. But never expected him to play at this level, especilally in our conservative offense
5. Bradie James- I wrote James off long ago. Last year he played over Coakley in many cases when his performance didn't merit play time. I'm glad to see him play so well after expecting big things from him when we drafted him. I was worried he was going to go the way of Marcus Steele.

wow -- someone put Petitti on the list? Come on. I like Rob but over Ware, Henry, Crayton, Newman, James, Shanle, Fergi, Glover, Ellis, Barber, Bledsoe, Spears, Canty.

my top 5

1. Drew Bledsoe-thought he would be just good enough to drive the bus, gone way beyond that
2. Rob Pettiti-didn't know what to expect, has done reasonably well considering the circumstances: 2nd choice to start, switching from L to R
3. Andre Gurode-thought he was gone
4. Bradie James-was an enigma, but is getting it now
5. Terrence Newman-knew he would rebound, but not this well

didn't put DWare on the list because I said he would win DROY when he was drafted, didn't put A Henry on the list because I felt there was a reason Parcells took him before all the other corners on the market, didn't put Greg Ellis/Laroi Glover cuz I knew they would do just fine, and Terry Glenn is off to about the same, hot start as last year, so I didn't put him on my list either

well, Ware, Spears, Barber, and Canty were all taken ahead of Pettiti, AHenry and Ferguson were given big money, and everyone else was a vet, so I could see how Pettiti being a 6th round pick, and starting since day 1 being a bigger suprise

now, my 5 biggest disappointments thus far...

1. Flozell Adams-been pretty durable his time in Dallas, his loss is a suprise
2. Marco Rivera-hasn't been what I expected, not bad, just the running game hasn't improved, I thought he would help tremendously in that department
3. Keith Davis-thought he'd show me more than what he has because he's smart, fast, and knows the playbook
4. Kevin Burnett-the way the coaches were talking about him in TC, and his physical make-up, thought he'd make much more of an impact, but he's young, so not that disappointed
5. Al Johnson-isn't performing how he did during the 2nd half last year, think it's a sophomore slump as this is basically his 2nd year

Bledsoe - playing way beyond all expectations.

Henry - solid - great pick up for us.

Glenn - deep threat = putting up solid numbers, allows us to spread the field when we are smart enough to try it. No injury thus far.

Petitti - I think MANY are taking him for granted - outstanding job by this rookie. He'll have his growing pains, but this is a success stiry in the making that many are, like I said, taking for granted.

Ware - playing well, but I expected at least as much given where we picked him. Playing well nonetheless.

Pettiti and Shanle havent been all that impressive

Ware has been...Bledsoe has been...Terrance Newman is having the best yr of any CB in football IMO...Henry has been very good...

I'd throw in Braide James...he was pretty much an afterthought but is starting to become a real playmaker at ILB
