Detroit was left to suffer through the offseason with what it felt was a bad call against Dallas.

Then the Cowboys were left to suffer the inequity of what they felt was a bad call against Green Bay.

Then the Packers were left to suffer after completely choking away a sure victory against Seattle with the game well in hand.

And now Seattle has to suffer forever over the worst play call in NFL history.

A succession of miseries befell the NFC this postseason.

And they got progressively worse. LOL. The PI non-call in the Detroit game was the least devastating. The Lions still had plenty of opportunities to overcome that. The Dez non-catch was worse and frankly, I didn't think it could get much worse. But as a Packers fan? Losing a game with a 15-point lead, with just a few minutes left for a chance to go to the Super Bowl? Brutal. I thought that took the cake. And Seattle managed to find a way to beat it! That has to be about the most devastating loss a fan could deal with. That was just awful...for them. LOL.

Seattle and green bay's problems were entirely self inflicted. Detroit Nd dallas could be viewed as victims.

The fact that their problems were self-inflicted does not help their fan bases, I can assure you. LOL. Detroit fans got the joy of making the playoffs, their ensuing pain was the least intense. Us Cowboys fans got the joy of making the playoffs AND winning a game...and ultimately got a bigger screw job than Detroit did. The Packers got the joy of making the playoffs and advancing to the NFC championship game. But their season would end in even worse misery. And then there's Seattle -- the perfect opportunity to win the rare back to back SBs and take their place among the all time great teams. Now? Now they're just another SB winner, destined to take a backseat to the great Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers, and Patriots teams of other eras. They can't get that back. That's gone forever. Brutal.

I don't believe much in Karma. But what comes around goes around. The entire NFC playoffs was mired in controversy. Especially the Dallas Green Bay game. I thought it was poetic justice that Green Bay lost in the waning moments of the game. Then it happened to the Seahawks. Maybe it is karma. I think its the football Gods saying to the league "you taketh the game away from the Cowboys, I will taketh the game from you."

This is funny.

Good compilation.

The problem is..it should have ended last night. The "karma" curse or whatever you want to call was broken....
(Fluke bounce and catch. Score on 4 tries and win)

....Carroll put in for an extension lol....

Seattle did that to themselves!

Correct- Seattle lost that game themselves. Run Lynch on that play, call timeout if he doesn't score, then gather yourself. They were just too frantic and panicky the way they played; as if they were out of timeouts when they weren't.

I guess I didn't read between the lines that this thread was about fanbases.

You can add the Cards into that mix... while it their tragedy happened during the season they must feel bad knowing that they finally had a team that could really compete, and might have been the favorites in the NFC, after decades of mediocrity (with one SB losing season that wasn't really earned) and then their QB keeps going down.

Man that Detroit call seems like nothing now. People said the Dez play was karma for it, but one decided a game and one was a double penalty of third down.

While I agree somewhat, I just want to remind everyone that the non-call in the Detroit game was not a bad call at all except in the medias mind (unless you count them not calling a facemask or illegal hands to the face against Detroit as a bad non-call). Now the Dez "un-catch" is a different story.

lol KARMA. if so one has to wonder what Detroit has done in their past to have have never in their history been to a SB if you believe in KARMA.

when people say that the cowboys/gb game was karma for the cowboys in what happened to Detroit i mention that.

so What did Detroit do?

Came back from 27-3 and 30-24 deficits to stun the Cowboys.

So the Cowboys came back from a 20-7 deficit to stun the Lions.

fair enough. i can take that.

why hasn't their ORG. and fan base tasted a SB yet? why have/had one of the best (arguably the best) RB in NFL in Barry Sanders and they couldn't punch it in?

What did they do so wrong that KARMA has been paying hem a major visit in a macro sense.

the point is if people like to use the KARMA tag why stop at that one game? Does KARMA only work in a micro sense? It goes both ways.

you can say the same for other teams but since Detroit fans/Cowboy haters like to use that KARMA tag on those back to back playoff games this season it seems foolish and shortsighted to look at a couple of games. But yes I know some use the tag just because they are myopic. Others just think it sounds cool.
