What are odds Bradford traded to Cowboys?

Sadly if what they say is true, Philthy has already traded their pick and are scheduled to take the
2nd pick overall. Which means? they're likely to grab a QB early, Our problem? is we're in the
same boat Romo is getting older, Dallas needs to start the process of finding his future replacement
and any trade involving us and them? Is going to not bode well for us, Since they'll want our 4th pick
overall this year and compensation for next years draft. Personally I don't see how Bradford is worth
that..I'd rather wait on Stafford than trying to acquire him (Bradford)

Sam Bradford #1 overall pick in 2000.

Of the 36 QB's that threw 500 passes over the past three years:

#21 in passer rating.

#9 in low pass INT percent

#14 in completion rate

#12 in yards per game

#4 Lowest sack average per game.

This guy has talent that was hidden behind very poor teams. He has only averaged about 8 starts per season. With the Cowboy line, and a legitimate running threat, he could flourish.

He wouldn't be the first former #1 pick overall to benefit from a change of teams. jim Plunkett won two Super Bowls with the Raiders after years of suffering as a Patriot

Bradford has played for some pretty bad teams but I think he could be an option. He already had his formative years and should be in his prime.

Still....a 4th round pick would be my top offer and he would have to renegotiate his contract. He could see extensive timw on the field. Eventually, this season or next, he wil be the stater.

Tony Romo maybe has one more season and thats it.

All of these are good points and I do understand the line of thought here but honestly, unless he is going to play for much, much less then he is scheduled to make with the Eagles and unless they are willing to take a very low pick, I just don't see it happening.

The knock on Bradford, even coming out of OU was that he could not stay healthy. He's had that same issue in the Pros. I am not in favor of spending on him unless it is very beneficial to us. JMO

How much of those health issues were related to the fact that the Rams were a very poor team and the Eagles offensive line sucked?

I agree that you don't give him a lucrative contract, he hasn't earned one. However, QB's drafted at that position typically are students of the game who learn through experience. he's been knocked around. He has learned some things along the way and he does have an elite skill set with the potential to do some good things. he's had some bad breaks but sometimes you get a guy like that and he matures late

Jim Plunket

Trent Dilfer

Doug Williams

All 1st round picks that pretty much sucked most of their careers until they found a home late in their career. They are all Super Bowl champions.

An elite offensive line can be very forgiving.

Not really arguing that it can't happen. I'm saying that the evaluation of him, since his College days has, thus far, been right on. If you could get him really reasonably, then it's possible that you could get value out of him but at this point, there is no reason to believe that he will be available or that he will be reasonable on the salary.

Wouldn't want him no matter what we could get him for. Sorry but I can never root for someone who was a Sooner and an Eagle. Those are my two most hated sports teams in history. Pass.

Historically, Bradford has been injury prone. That's a real problem for any player, especially for a QB whose availability is so crucial. I'd be somewhat surprised if we were willing to give up a #2 pick for him, although we're probably pretty desperate by now. To be totally honest, there isn't much this team could do that might surprise me.

Bradford's basically been in a different offensive system every year he's been in the NFL. Not to mention his WRs and OL have always been pretty bad or at least below average. He's been backed up by pretty lousy run games. That said he's not always really taken advantage of a situation and shown himself as a guy to build around either. The only time he really came close to that was 2013 when he tore his knee 7 games into the season.

Last year he was probably one the best things about the Eagles offense. Had no receivers, starting RB didn't fit the offense. Kelly decided to release 2 key OLineman before the season started. But he put up okay numbers despite that. May give up a 4th rounder for him.

No desire to get him. Not taking his contract and if he is throwing a tantrum about having to compete for his job this year, don't want him as a backup.

What are the chances Sam Bradford will want out of Phillie and the Cowboys trading for him?

Sorry if discussed elsewhere, I couldn't do a search to find it.

I hope not. I want a better QB than Captain NoNeck Bradford

"0" % chance, and I'm 99% confident in that. Dallas will have no interest in an underperforming, oft-injured, highly paid QB as a backup, especially one who has no chance of being the future franchise QB.

He can be 'pissed' all he wants. He's stolen $100 million from this league already and the guy is lucky to still be here.

He had no issue taking the $13 million he was overpaid in 2015 based on his underachieving body of work. His refusal to renegotiate is what led to his trade from the Rams, and his turning down a 4-year $72 million extension from the Eagles is what got them here.

Sam Bradford is an overpaid underachiever who has stolen enough money. The only thing the guy 'deserves' is a swift kick out of the league. Let him rot!

I don't think Sam Bradford has had a decent supporting cast or been put in the right system to succeed since he arrived in the league. The Rams may, for all intents and purposes, ruined him as an NFL QB.

I may be in the minority here, but personally, I think FOR THE RIGHT SALARY CAP NUMBER, Sam Bradford would be an excellent addition to this team. If we could get the Eagles to eat enough of his salary, he could be the backup here, and his upside would be significant (maybe even Romo's successor, if Romo's career were to get cut short due to injury) , if you could get him to revert back to his college form, which I think he would do behind this line.

I don't think he is a good value right now for salary cap purposes with his current contract, but he had at one time all the tools to be a success in the NFL. Personally I think he was a better prospect than Luck on draft day in some respects.

Your 100% right, but Bradford won't come here unless Romo is somewhere else. He wants to start and he wants his own team
