Could you list all the 2nd wrs in the NFL please?

How about just these in the NFC North:
  • Tate (On pace for 1600 yard yards)
  • Cobb (On pace for 18 TDs)
  • Alshon Jeffrey (On pace for 1100+ yards)
  • Greg Jennings (ok, not so great anymore, however still on pace for about 800 yards)
Others that come to mind:
  • Floyd (San Diego)
  • Crabtree (49ers)
  • D. Jackson (Redkins)
  • Wayne (Colts)
  • Hopkins (Texas)
  • Sanu (Bengals)

I'm a fan of Beasley, but one reason that he doesn't play more snaps is that the Cowboys really like for the WRs to block in the running game. With Romo often changing plays, if he changes to a run play when Beasley is in the game, then it puts a kink in the blocking because Beasley can't block. He will try to block, but it's just not effective.

I do think they should target him more often when he is in the game, but I don't know if they can really give him more overall snaps. You don't want to tip the defense to know that it will always be a pass play when Beasley is in the game.

It's weird for me because I "feel" that Beasley should get more targets, but I also "feel" that Escobar should get more snaps/targets. Escobar was terrific in the Giants game and then has had minimal targets since.

I actually think they're going to try to get Escobar more involved this week and that he has a pretty good game.

I'm shocked that you would focus on the NFC North

I know right -- talk about an incredible group of #2 WRs...

;)

Seattle grossly underestimated Golden Tate's worth. He's a damn good player.

Cobb is pretty good but that offense makes him look better than he is.

Jeffery is the best #2 in the North and one of the best #2 WR's in the NFL IMO.

Jennings isn't very good anymore although he would be doing better if he were still in GB.

I have a very strong dislike for Golden Tate.

Having said that, I've been SHOCKED how good he actually is in a real passing offense. I have to tip my hat to him.

Ditto, on both counts. I thought he was a pretty decent WR but he is playing fantastic.

If I were a Seattle fan, I would want to beat the **** out of Harvin for not only being a **** and not working out with the team... but primarily for the team losing Tate because they paid a lot for Harvin and they were similar.

So you list a bunch of guys on large contracts (Tate, Jennings, Jackson, Wayne) and then a bunch of guys who are really their team's number 1s if you actually follow football (Jackson, Hopkins, Jennings, Jeffrey, Crabtree).

Yeah please go sit in the corner.

Toruk, what makes you so rude in your posts? Do you feel that childish comments such as "Go sit in the corner" somehow strengthen you arguments? I'm curious how old you are -- I'm guessing somewhere in the teens.

Anyway....

Someone asked for a list of #2 WRs. I didn't see a qualifier asking for a list of #2 WRs who are still on their first contract..

He said terrance wasn't a number 2. I asked for who is better.

If he can only list guys on large contracts or guys who are number 1s he proves my point and discredits his.

I'm also not a teen. Just a guy with a masters degree who loves his Cowboys.

The main thing we need to take this offense to "The Greatest Show On Turf" is a flat out burner at WR. I hate to say it, but if we had Desean Jackson this offense would rival Denver. Nick Eatman talked about this and mentioned the Steeler WRs and said they can do stuff the Cowboy receivers cant because they have three WRs that were all track stars in college.

We do not have a 4.25 guy at WR that can just take the top of the defense, our main deep threat is TWILL and he is just not that fast, wasn't considered real fast at Baylor either. And I am not talking about a track guy that cant catch worth a dam, I am talking about a legit speed demon WR that could open up things for Dez. Think about it, you line up a speed WR next to Dez, the defense has to respect the speed and drop back to prevent the deep shot leaving Dez open. If they try to jam Dez and bracket him with a safety, they have to play man coverage against the speed demon. Not may CBs in this league can run stride for stride with the fastest WRs, that is why Desean Jackson gets so many deep balls.

I agree with Nick Eatman, go draft a speed demon WR next year and this offense will be about as good as it gets in the NFL.

Find a true #2 WR opposite Dez....and make Williams the 3rd option.o_O

That's why I wanted to hold on to Austin. Have him take a pay cut like Free did. That would open the field up for Dez, Witten and Williams deep.

A good backup QB and a very speedy WR would more than likely win Dallas an extra game or three.

I actually think they're going to try to get Escobar more involved this week and that he has a pretty good game.

I can't figure out how they determine who's going to play in terms of the last guy on offense. Sometimes Beasley plays a lot, sometimes Escobar plays a lot, occasionally Dunbar will get a series of plays with several at WR, sometimes Hanna plays significant snaps, etc..

Escobar was terrific in the Giants game and then we've barely seen him since.

Beasley would have been terrific in the AZ game if Weeden had thrown him the ball.

Dunbar looked really good on that final scoring drive against AZ.

I think Hanna made a big play in what seems like the only time that they've thrown him the ball this season. I don't even remember which game it was now.

Austin quit running full speed by his last season here. He appeared to have backed down to 90% or something in an effort to prevent another hamstring injury.
