S, ILB, QB, NT, DE, CB depth (4th or 5th CB)

Guard/tackle is a must on day one.

i don't see us spending our only 1st day pick on an OT/G. we have more pressing issues. if kosier comes back healthy, that's kosier/davis starting with holland as the backup...looks good there IMO. and a backup OT i think isn't as pressing as other places IMO.

In my opinion, it is this order.

Safety
Inside Linebacker
NT
ANY Oline
DE
QB

Guard...Kozier, Davis, Holland (pretty good 3 deep there) If you want to upgrade over Kozier, then look for a big bulldozer type. But I don't think we'll see this as a priority since the offense looked pretty good when Kozier was in there and pretty good for Holland's brief stint.

Tackle...I don't see us looking at OT's with Flo and Columbo signed. We'll expect better years from them next season. We also have decent depth behind them unless we are ready to banish McQ and/or Free and find another backup, but we are talking backups or developmental types, not starters.

Center...We hopefully assume Proctor is gone, which means we are only looking for a backup at Center, possibly a C/G combo guy.

TE....no moves here unless we are looking for another young special teamer type to replace Curtis.

RB....no moves here unless another big power back who excells at Special Teams appeals to us.

FB...I like Cricket okay, but it wouldn't surprise me if we went after a huge, big time lead blocker type....if there is one available.

QB...I do NOT believe this draft will go by without us taking a QB...I think we hit gold in undrafted FA with Romo, but don't expect lightening to strike twice...the only reason Romo signed with us was because we didn't have a QB...we need to draft a developmental type on day 2, hopefully a guy with great legs.

NT...you bet...if we don't sign one in FA, we'll be looking for a backup in the draft.

DE...Always...Canty may hit the road this year...Bowen and Hatcher aren't starters...we'll be looking hard at this position, imo.

ILB....Definitely....we need a big, strong, ILB to push for time with anyone else opposite James.

OLB....Yes...we still need more pass rushers...Ellis is reaching the end of the line, imo, and Spencer hasn't turned the corner yet...you need another guy, even if he's a little smallish who can pass rush.

CB...Nope, we're set, but if one falls in your lap who can play special teams and push someone else off the roster, you still draft him...you never have too many, and they are always valuable.

FS...I think we're set with Hamlin...Watkins should never have been playing SS to begin with...dang injuries.

SS....Doesn't necessarily have to be our first selection, but this is definitely our top priority, imo.

New starters at SS, ILB, DE

Depth at NT, OLB, C/OG, QB

And, of course, if TO is released, we'll be looking at WR's in both FA and the draft, but my guess is that we may be looking at the smaller, quicker type guys that many teams feel cannot be a #1 guy.

Starting Free Safety : We need to draft a starter here so Hamlin can move to SS.

Starting Inside Linebacker : Another needed starter. Preferably a 3 down guy with range and the ability to take on blockers.

Backup OLB : We need more than 2 pass rushers and Spencer has yet to prove he is one. If Ellis is back he is about 3/4 of a player because he will wear down than be useless. We need someone here who can spot start and provide pressure while playing with good technique.

Backup OT : Flo was really banged up there for the Cards game and it showed. We need a backup we can trust to start games as needed.

Backup QB : Romo was rushed back because the backups were so awful. We need a guy who can at least hold the fort.

Backup NT : Tank is gone and good riddance to him. We need someone who can be a force on 3rd or 4th and short.

Kickoff Guy : We need to use a roster spot on a deep kick off guy. Someone who can consistently net us touch backs.

I dont' think any one position or coach is more important than this team (Romo specifically) learning that you MUST TAKE CARE OF THE BALL.

It is friggin VITAL that we keep the turnovers to a minimum. Look at the turnaround of hte dolphins this year. The Dolphins had 10 turnovers all year, and they won 10-11 games.

With the talent on this team, if we could keep the turnovers to 10 in a season, I don't believe we'd lose more than one game.

I don't think Dallas has a good back up offensive tackle. If they did, then that back up should have played this season.

Flozell got hurt and needed a week or two off to recover. Did the coaches have such little faith in McQ and Free that they would rather trot out a less than 100% Adams? It is either a bad coaching decision or the back ups are not that good. Maybe both.

If McQ or Free are ready then one of them would have been elevated to starter at the right tackle position instead of re-signing Colombo. They would have been cheaper alternatives. Not that Colombo is a bad signing, but financially it would have been more prudent for one of the youngsters to step in. I don't think they are capable and that is a problem.

Dallas needs a guy they can count on to step in and be an adequate replacement for a starter. The same holds for the guard and center positions. There was not only a clear down grade when Proctor came in this season, but a dramatic weakness. Holland may be okay, but he is no clear cut solution at guard. Who can play center or tackle? I think that something should be done.

Doesn't matter until we address the void in leadership, accountability, coaching, desire, work ethic, discipline and heart

If we are as talented as everyone and the players think they are, we have more than enough to do what we all want them to do

Help for the O line
RB . . . . (kidding!)

ILB, Zack will be gone and I believe Burnett will not be signed so that leaves a hole but I'm not sure thats our biggest need.

Head coach

isnt this the truth. We need someone anyone who can teach these guys how to win. Someone to kick our players in the rear and right this ship. Unless that changes it does not matter who we bring in.

Glaring needs, in order...

1) Starting #1 WR (T.O. is gone; Can Roy Wi11iams win the #1 spot; who pushes him?)
2) Starting #3 WR (Crayton is gone or demoted; Sam Hurd and Issaik Stanback are limited and injury prone)
3) Starting ILB (Who replaces Zack Thomas?)
4) Starting SS (Who replaces Roy Williams; it's not Hamlin?)
5) Backup QB (We have the #1 and #3 guy, but need a vetran #2)
6) Backup LG/RG (Young guys not developing enough to supplant the sub-par Proctor)
7) Backup DT ('Tank' is a 'Yugo'; as in "PLEASE 'Yugo' BUH-BYE!")
8) Backup NT (To rotate with Ratliff, and allow Ratliff to play some DE)
9) Backup C (Loss of Kossier begs the question 'Do you really want Procter at C shold Gurode ever go down?)
10) Kicker (to be a kickoff specialist and backup K/P)
