What are your fav restaurants and bars?

Another one I miss is Pizza Hut, back in the day and I mean 1970s and 1980s they had very good pizza decent salad bar, eventually ruined by yum foods. Their Pizza is garbage now, ditto for Taco Bell and Long John Silver's, KFC too

There was a ponchos here in Oklahoma City for quite a while, pretty decent food but the last couple years they were in business it was pretty bad
I don't think the food was that great, but as a young man they had cheap drinks and I could put a hurting on a Mexican buffet at that time in life. Margaritas, cinco nachos, and sopaipillas are what growing boys need and I did work there. Ours was in a mall right across from the movie theater and THE small town West Texas spot on the weekends.

Oh yeah, I miss Poncho's. Got made fun of a lot for its "Tex-Mex" Food but I'm a big man and sometimes need those buffets. Something different in the usual stream of buffets.

Another concept I don't think exists anymore were the cafeteria tray style restaurants like Wyatt's and Luby's? Maybe I only have fond memories because my grandparents would take me there all the time while growing up, but always felt like a home-cooked meal.

A lot of my favorite restaurants have gone out of business. It just goes to show you that having good food isn't enough. I'm sure there are about a zillion other aspects of the business. Here in Omaha, it's harder to find good Mexican food than it is in states like Texas and California. In Nebraska, you have to search around some to find good Mex or Tex-Mex. Julio's was a great Tex-Mex restaurant here that I used to go to all the time, but the one near me went out of business. I think there's another one in town, so I might check it out.

La Mesa is still here and is very good. I'm also a big fan of Chinese food. PF Chang's is really good, and I believe they have locations nationwide. There's another Mexican food restaurant named Bomb Taco, which is small, but their food is really good.
Here in NJ where I am we have no BBQ places. Can't get a good pulled pork sandwich anywhere. But we do have 2 really good Mexican places. Both are family owned.

Sad to say some of the best restaurants here have closed as the owners got old and retired.
