Whether to make a trade or not is very different than knowing who you are going to take in the first round when your pick arrives.

The Cowboys acted like they were debating between players as if they hadn’t decided that in advanced. If that wasn’t just for the cameras, then the Cowboys are more inept than I ever believed they were.
 
Hard to say. He isn't the final decison maker, but he was pounding the table for "immediate starter" Mazi. Guess there is a reason no one is knocking down his door tryig to hire him to be their GM.

I try to stay more recent and we should really just stay in the last couple of seasons but it's very apparent that Will Mcclay has a strong voice and influence on this team if you don't say it I'm sorry I already said the Jones family still responsible because they own it and they make the final decision that doesn't mean the system isn't broke from within and from below They are listening too much to the coaching Staffs and to Will Mcclay his scouts and if you want something different you have to change what can be changed that would be Will Mcclay..

This has been a year to year league for quite a while It's a week to week during the season things happen then you reevaluate that's it that's where I sit i'm not in your group that just keeps worrying about what happened 30 years ago up until now...

If you change the voice and the vision it changes the advice being given to Jerry in the Jones family maybe it would be better some people are calling him a yes man I doubt that too he doesn't need to be around for 30 years he could have got another job in this league He basically is the acting GM if you don't believe it I'm sorry i've seen it things have been changing the last 10 years but for sure the last five years you can tell Jerry has less influence and making less decision and he's leaning on these people for advice and that's what we're talking about...

I always read replies to a post of mine out of respect for the time and effort given by that poster.

You obviously took a great deal of time and effort to respond so I am very confused.

You gave me a seven-paragraph response to a post you never read. Okay, that's your prerogative.

So, yeah, I read it and I don't agree with any of it. None.

I will criticize the management of this team from the highest mountain with a bullhorn every day that I can if I want to. That is my prerogative.

I'm not going into details over it since you don't read my posts anyway.

If memory serves, they were debating between two players... an OL and Mazi.... I could be wrong in that recollection.

Knowing who you are going to take does not mean you picked the best player available. A scouting Department is giving you advice and their opinion.

If we used FA like we are supposed to fill glaring holes, we could draft best player available more frequently.
 
My hunch is many of our more astute talent evaluators fans could do as well or better than our FO.

He's done a good job for Dallas.

The Mazi pick was a black eye though.
