I don't understand the question. Are you saying top 10 players currently on the roster? You also said build so I'll assume you mean young players to build around. Not counting players we might get in the draft, I'll take a stab at it. I'll try to rank them:
1. Gregory: He's the only top 10 defensive talent we've acquired in the draft since Ware. He has the potential to be elite at one of the most important positions on the team: edge rusher.
2. Smith: Still about as young as many rookies despite being in the league for quite a while. The second most important position on offense and one of the best at his position.
3. Jones: Solid rookie season but still needs to fix a lot of things. Ideal size and insane measureables. Could be our #1 CB or FS for the future.
4. Martin: People forget he's only in his second year. Already a proven star as a rookie All-Pro.
5. Bryant: Still young and an elite WR. The only play maker on offense. Our next QB will definitely benefit having Dez to throw to.
6. Frederick: Great player and a tough old school football player. Gives the O-line a personality and an edge.
7. Collins: So many good young O-linemen on this team. This guy has the potential to be the best one. Already flashed as a rookie.
8. Crawford: People think he was overpaid but he's still a solid player and one of the only decent players we have on the interior D-line. Could be much better with a solid DT next to him.
9. Hitchens: Could be the veteran on our LBer corps very soon. A solid year as a rookie but didn't get a chance to prove himself this year. Ceiling isn't very high but he could be a solid player for a long time.
10. Lawrence: Some thought he was overdrafted last year. Didn't do much in his first two years. Beasted in the playoffs but that might've been a fluke. Still deserves a chance to be our SDE but could be replaced if we could get a guy like Bosa.
Honorable mention. Bailey: One of the most consistent players on the team and one of the best at his position. Should be here for a long time.
