Defense wins... Give Romo a top 10 defense that be relied upon when it matters and watch how far Dallas can go.

Great defense will keep you in a game even when your QB is not playing high quality football.

That being said, their defenses were not built overnight. It took them a couple of years, so it will take Jerry at least that and probably more considering he's not finding Shermans and Chancellors in the mid-rounds of drafts. We are in for a 2-4 year rebuild.

It would need to start with a commitment to a defensive-minded team...right now, the team is not that...by the time those 2-4 years are gone, tony's time as QB will have expired and then Jones will look to improve the offense again....a cyclical issue that has no apparent end

You can take away that Kaepernick should be fitted with the choker label just like Romo. He singlehandedly gave the game to Seattle. That would be the 3 inch headline if Romo was the QB.

Not sure on this. Kaep is in his 3rd year and has been in back to back NFC Champ games. Could gave won SB last year. After Tonys Seattle drop snap not many people called him a choker because he was a young unknown still. If Kaep continues trend in big games we can go there.

As far as this thread. We aren't even close to this teams....how they play, how they're built, how they're coached, etc. fun to watch, sad to compare.

The only thing I took away from this game is that - we are stuck with Brandon Carr and not Richard Sherman :)

By watching these games today we can be assured that we are nowhere near as good as the teams that played today and we really are nowhere close.
Yea, because Kaep's 153 yards passing three straight turnovers to end the game really made SF look elite.

All we learned yesterday is that there are only two top-tier teams in the entire NFL. They are both going to the Super Bowl. I don't think anybody else is even close to them.

so seattle did not lose its top 2 receivers?
good to know
I didn't say they had no injuries. I said they weren't as plagued by it as other teams.

Besides, they are a running, grind it out offense. They'd be far more hurt by losing, say, Bennett and Wagner, than those two guys.

i can only hope you are not being serious
if we were going into a game against the niners with our starting DL but without Dez and Witten (our top 2 receivers) you would not hear the end of the litany of excuses

You mean Jones has built a team that wins too much to get better? Oh the irony.
