Hopefully the DB's have prepared for how the Eagle's WR's run routes. They push off right about 5-7 yards and will do it with their arms extended. In many cases, it's a penalty that doesn't get thrown. But, you have to be prepared for it and it doesn't matter what scheme you run if you're are not.

Hopefully they'll utilize more man-to-man and try to get McCoy running more east and west than south.

I think they need to look for Beasley more on offense. Let him get a lot of the underneath stuff and start to persuade them from doubling Dez so much and then we can go over the top to Dez.

I think the main key will be with the OL, they played poorly vs Philly with the stunts, twist and blitzes they used I expect them to watch tape and be better prepared. I also think a healthier Romo makes a big difference. The quick turn around was hard on Romo and while he will say it was no excuse it clearly affected his play. With extra time off before this game I fully expect to see a much sharper Romo than in the 1st meeting.

I agree with alot of what has already been posted about their offense.

We have to maintain the edges on the outside and can't get sucked in on their option sweeps out of the shotgun or any run formation for that matter. We just flat out need to recognize what they are doing and stay disciplined, plain and simple. The Seahawks did it and maintained their gap integrity and held up in the middle, kept the edges and really shut down that college style running attack the Eagles use.

As mentioned, they are strictly a finesse team on both sides of the ball. They do have good pass rushers but if you study film on them and are prepared and hit them in the mouth they'll buckle.

We just have to be ready to play. Teams have been going up and down the field on them all year and there is no reason why we can't. We have the personnel on offense to do it.

An argument can be made that this game is the season pretty much due to what the wildcard situation looks like. I expect us to go in there and be prepared and mix it up. I fully expect them to put 8 and 9 men in the box and play man to man to open the game. They'll send 5 guys at Romo at the minimum but do have good pass rushers. We have to make them pay for that and open it up down the field. That'll set up our oline and Murray to do what they do best and run the ball down their throat.

Mix up the run and pass much better on first down. We were 100% predictable on first down on Thanksgiving Day. We can't be afraid to throw the ball.

He will be ready physically. The unprecedented sunday night road game was a factor.
He said he used poor judgement in how he prepared physically for thanksgiving.

I'm not counting on slant passes and a short passing game. Its been years and it's still nowhere to be seen.

The simplest and most obvious answer is the OFFENSE. If we keep up with them and score on every possession we will win...last time the missing factor was Dallas not scoring at all

Agree......

If we get the Romo of Thanksgiving....I don't think we stand a chance. He's gotta push the ball down field and stretch the defense.

be more physical on defense... bump and run with the receivers.... take more chances with the blitz scheme....
on offense, involve the screen & draw game......

Be more agressive offensively. You are not going to beaet them in the manner Seattle did...because you do not have the defense to do that. So the approach of "keeping the defense" off the field with the "3 yards and a cloud of dust" offense is going to get you beat. Understand going into the game you are going to need 34 points to win. And contstruct a gameplan to do that.

Make Sanchez uncomforatble. His throws, demeanor and dissposition was WAY TO RELAXED. Make him make an accurate throw to someone who is covered. Throwing into soft spots (read craters) in a zone is way to easy for him.

Play like you are angry about Thanksgiving. You cannot let what happened on Thanksgiving go unanswered. Our OL was called out by the Philly DL...and I want them to send a message. A message that this OL is going to be a problem for this division for the next 6 - 8 years.

Lastly, we cannot let Chip Kelly walk into the NFC East from college...and send a message that he can lose multiple starting QBs...give his best WR away...and still toy with the rest of the division. If we do not want to see a Jimmy Johnson like domination for the rest of the decade...we need to put an end to it this year.

How about this, realize that we lost last time to MR. BUTT FUMBLE, and this time make him fumble again, multiple times!

Line has to so a better job as well.

I'd say specifically....Ron Leary has got to step up. Fletcher Cox absolutely destroyed him. And Of all people....Brandon Graham. Philly moved him from LBer to the DL...and Leary had problems handling his speed.

I still have a hard time believing the short week is the excuse for such a horrendous outing by the O-line. It's not like Philly has days to recover from their Sunday game...Plus they had to travel as well. So that's a wash. We just got outplayed. And I fear it may well happen again because Philly is just physically better than us even though we've invested 3 #1 picks.

The key is blocking Cox.

If it's me....I'm doubling him wherever he's lining up and I'm taking my chances one on one w/ everyone else. Maybe chipping the ends w/ the RBs on obvious pass plays....but people need to step up and be held accountable.

IMO this may be the biggest game in the franchises history. It's definately a turning point.....because if you don't break though now.....your not going to w/ this group.

I think every player out there needs to step it up a notch in this game. As for the short week I agree no excuse, based on what Romo said the short week did affect him and he took responsibility for not being right in the game for not taking the injection and his play showed it. I fully expect Romo to do what he has to do to get himself ready.

One obvious change the Cowboys are going to have to make is play a hell of a lot better on defense. The blueprint for beating Philly was put on display by Seattle yesterday. You have to shutdown McCoy and force Sanchez to have to beat you. Seattle held McCoy to 2.9 a carry while the Cowboys D allowed him 6.4 a carry. Seattle put heat on Sanchez sacking him 3 times and forcing a turnover. He only completed 50% of his passes compared to 69% vs the Cowboys. The Seahawks D is starting to look like last years unit again and unfortunately the Cowboys don't have near as good a defense which means they're going to have to score a lot of points to win.

They're going to have to open up on offense Sunday Night getting Dez heavily involved. They're going to have to get off to a fast start and not allow Philly to draw first blood or we'll see a repeat of the Thanksgiving day massacre. If they jump on the Cowboys early is going to be a very long night. The Cowboys have gotten off to a number of slow starts this season and that will play right into Philly's hands. They want to put the game on Romo's shoulders forcing him into turnovers. The Cowboys can ill afford to get down by 2 scores or they'll get blown out.

We have to get TWill involved and this is a game Escobar should get some opportunities in the redzone. It's hard to game plan him because he hasn't been involved very often. The Cowboys can't go into this game with the same approach of trying to pound Murray all day. They have to take some chances down the field and the defense has to step up and play a great game for the Cowboys to have any chance.
