Had Dez been given a TD on that play the Packers would have had over 4 minutes to win the game on a FG. Had the Cowboys gone for 2 and were successful the Packers could have tied the game on a FG and won it with a TD. All the Packers were trying to do on their final possession was move the chains and eat up the clock and the Cowboys couldn't stop them. Green Bay moved the ball all the way to the Cowboys 31 yard line and with 1:43 left Rodgers took a knee on the Packers final 3 plays. The Cowboys still would have lost the game had Dez scored the Cowboys D couldn't stop the Packers in the second half.

The Cowboys had plenty of opportunities to build a sizable lead with Rodgers off his game but the game turned with less than a minute to go in the first half on a poor play call on 3rd and one which forced the Cowboys to attempt a FG which got partially blocked. With 29 seconds left the Packers drove from their own 40 to the Cowboys 22 and kicked a FG which made it a 6 point swing. Instead of a 17-7 halftime lead the Cowboys were clinging to a 14-10 lead. The first half ended on a bad note for the Cowboys and it carried over to the second half. Rodgers started getting hot and the Packers ended up outscoring the Cowboys 16-7 in the second half.

For those who think the game was stolen from the Cowboys on a call you need to go back and re watch the game. All we're going to hear from a few is how the Cowboys got robbed when they clearly were out played in the second half. The Cowboys defense had no answers for Davante Adams a rookie who broke several tackles and toasted the defense for 117 yards on 7 catches. For the kind of money Dez is looking for that should have been him but he didn't show up. Rodgers on a torn calf shredded the defense for 316 yards and 3 TD's and Eddie Lacy added 101 yards rushing. The Packers were the better team last Sunday.

Well, it obviously wasn't a touchdown. Not sure what you're looking at?

But it would have been 1st and 10 on the goal line with roughly 3:59 left.

As mentioned in another thread. Put the Knee down once, let the the clock run. that runs at least, at least a few minutes.,..puts us at roughly, 1:50ish left. and that is being generous.

GB would have no Timeouts

There would have been a kick off and a momentum crazed cowboys team on the field

You give me the Dez catch , at the one. a million out of a million times I bet the farm on a W.

Had it been ruled a catch it might have been a TD because the nose of the football appeared to be just touching the goal line when it came loose. Had Dez been given the catch but not the TD the Cowboys couldn't take the chance of wasting a down to take a knee to run the clock down because they needed a TD to take the lead. Had they wasted a down to try and eat up some clock the Packers may have held them. Murray could have taken a loss or a penalty may have moved the Cowboys back and the wasted down may have come back to haunt them. One kneel down would still have left Green Bay with the 2 minute warning giving them plenty of time to move within FG range.

I doubt many would have bet the farm the Cowboys could hold the Packers with Rodgers heating up. The Packers moved from their own 33 to the Cowboys 38 yard line in just over 2 minutes with 3 carries by Eddie Lacy and only one pass by Rodgers. With 1:43 left the Packers reached the Cowboys 28 and Rodgers started taking a knee. No way would the Cowboys defense been able to keep the Packers out of FG range even had they been pressed for time. They went from their own 40 to the Cowboys 22 in 29 seconds to kick the FG right before the half. Rodgers was on fire in the 4th quarter I don't believe he missed on one pass and the Cowboys defense continued missing tackles on receivers.

Criminal tampering with the outcome of a game is just something we all have to get over, huh??

I don't bet on games myself, but I would REALLY like to know if that replay official bet on the game, or was from WI or MI

Yes, people need to get over it, unless you like whining and crying and feeling bad, even if there's nothing anybody can do to change it.

In that case, go ahead. Enjoy your whining and conspiracy theories of criminal tampering. lol

Those who are so fixated over the officiating each week and feel officiating crews are being paid off to screw the Cowboys won't ever get over it. If the refs hadn't missed the holding call on Hitchen's vs the Lions and reversed the PI that was called and announced the Cowboys may never have gotten to the divisional round of the playoffs.

It's the same people that fail to realize we had many chances of putting GB away for good, and did not do it. We left 17 points on the field due to mistakes or turnovers, the refs didn't do that.

But they want to blame everything on the refs, because it's easier.

Criminal tampering? LOL Do you have any proof or are you just spouting off? One FANS theory is because Steratore was born in Pennsylvania he's a Steelers fan and this was payback for the Steelers loss to the Cowboys in SB XXX.

There can't be a FAN base in the NFL that's as fixated over what officiating crews will be calling Cowboy games each week like Cowboy FANS. A thread was started prior to the Lions game worrying about the crew. FANS worry more about who's going to officiate the games than the Cowboys opponent. FANS never go back and look at all the chances the Cowboys had they're too busy pointing the finger of blame at one call for costing the Cowboys the game. Some look to make excuses each week when the Cowboys lose and the officiating is usually to blame. According to one FAN had it not been for the officials and a few plays here and there the Cowboys would have had a 38-7 lead by his calculations. LOL

This is one of the most ridiculous threads I've seen in a long time a FAN claiming the Cowboys deserve compensation for a call that was reviewed and the league is standing behind. Even when the league admits the refs blew a call that helped cost a team a game they don't award compensation due to a mistake. A bad PI call in SB 13 helped cost the Cowboys a championship and although the league admitted the call was a mistake no compensation was rewarded. The NFL added the incidental contact rule a few months after the SB and although by RULE Dez's catch was ruled incomplete due to not holding onto the ball when contacting the ground this play will cause a rule change next season. Too many people including coaches and players thought that was a catch and that Dez completed a football move for a rule change not to happen by next season.

Trust me had the Dez play never happened a number of FANS would still be pointing the finger at the officiating for the loss. You won't find a loss on the Cowboys schedule in 2014 where a few FANS weren't pointing the finger at the officials.
