What compensation should the Cowboys receive?

If Murray doesn't fumble, we go up 21-7 and that's pretty much game against a one legged QB.

Murray fumbled away our ticket to the NFC title game, so be pissed at him just as much as everybody is pissed at the refs............If Bailey makes his kick, instead of being down 5, we are down 2 and kick a FG to take the lead on 4th and 2 instead of going deep to Dez.

So be pissed at Bailey as well, his miss had a huge impact on the game and this was the second straight playoff game he missed a kick, starting to think he cant handle the pressure kicks (see miss at end of regulation against Houston).

Also be pissed at Garrett for not running a play when the refs gave us a first down, instead he calls timeout and gives the refs a chance to review it, so be pissed at Garrett for botching that series.

I hope everybody is starting to see my point, it was not just the refs that made a mistake, it was Garrett for calling a timeout, it was Bailey for missing a FG, and it was Murray as well for fumbling on a breakaway TD. Yes, we got screwed on the Dez catch but as Garrett said, there were 56 mins before that and 4 mins after that and there were plenty of mistakes made by a lot of different people that contributed to this loss.

Moral of story.............don't fumble breakaway TDs, don't miss FGs, don't botch a timeout call, and also don't rush 3 at a one legged QB all day................don't be in a position where one bad call cost you the game.

see, this is ironic. I'm glad that the ref got the call right. Refs should not affect the game one way or the other. Playoff games are too important for referee mistakes.

On the other hand, 2 point conversions are no sure thing. Based on the stats I am able to find, the Cowboys hadn't attempted a 2 point conversion all season.

If they attempted and missed the conversion, then the Packers only need a FG to win.

If the Cowboys made the two point conversion, a FG would have tied it.

GB could have scored a FG with a minute to left and Romo could have come charging back and the Cowboys could have kicked their own to win it with seconds left on the clock.

We'll never know.

yep, you're right.

the NFL official in the replay booth STOLE the game from Dallas by pretending that completing the process means more than getting an elbow down. Obviously, that official should be fired.

But Dallas deserves compensation, because their Super Bowl run was cut short, maliciously. The NFL has illegitimized the rest of the NFC playoffs. It is a travesty. Nothing will be enough, except for playing the last 4:09 of the game.

Since they have run out of time to do that, what is left for the league to do?? I say additional draft picks. If the Cowboys had #1, 2 and #3 overall pick in the draft in addition to their #27 pick, I would be less angry about it.

If you think I'm poking fun, or attempting satire, I am not!! I am dead serious. The actions of the officials who overturned a CATCH, are criminally vindictive and malicious.

I think the majority of the Cowboys fans feel that it was a Catch, I know I do , and always will and the NFL joke of Officiating will never convince me otherwise, it still hurts and will for a long time, not sure if we'll ever fully get over it, this will be discussed from here on every year, but on the same note it is what it is, and was what it was, "we got robbed" and there is no way in you know what that the NFL will ever admit fault, maybe this only makes this team that much stronger and next year we beat them so convincingly that no matter what these fools with the stripes want to do to change the momentum or outcome of the game we still leave out of that big playoff game with a big W!

Murray's fumble occurred at the Cowboys 41 with just over 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter with the Cowboys up 14-10. There's no guarantee Murray would have scored on that play or the Cowboys would have ended up with a TD on that drive. Even had the Cowboys scored a TD they would have been up by only 11 points with plenty of time left. As for Rodgers playing on one leg you make it sound like he wasn't effective. You wouldn't have known anything was wrong with him by looking at some of the throws he made and his 68.6 completion percentage for 316 yards, 3 TD's and his 125.4 passer rating.

It was blocked.

Bailey's kick was blocked but he missed his first attempt which was negated due to a timeout by Green Bay. The past 2 games he had been pushing his FG's to the right.

They should hack off Aaron Rogers bad leg and give it to the Cowboy fans. We can make a lamp out of it.

Most everyone even those who aren't Cowboy fans thought it was a catch except for the officiating community. I blame the RULE more than the officials. There's very little doubt in my mind this rule will be changed by next season. Any rule that creates this much controversy and has NFL coaches and even owners bothered by it has to be changed.

I bet Lions fans would tell you it wasn't even the biggest goof of this year's playoffs. It's done and over with and no one is compensating any team for mistakes made by the officials. It's ridiculous to even suggest such a thing. Where would it end? Is every bad call worth a 7th round pick? The 7th round would be 400 picks long!

What does this have to do with the Lions? Officials did not make a mistake. They made a calculated decision to screw us. if you don't like the thread why are you here?

What rule? Has nothing to do with the rule and everything to do with the bias against the Cowboys. That was a catch. Get over it.

I politely disagree. I think its posts like yours

Cowboys had a chance to win, blew it (left 14-17 points on the field due to penalties, mistakes and a turnover), and the fans decide to blame refs. lol Pathetic as always.

I'm SURE you were against the refs picking up the Detroit flag, i'm sure you mentioned how the Cowboys only won because of that call, right? Or is it just now that the call went against the Cowboys, that you decide to hate the refs?

But yes...me telling people to stop acting like whiny little kids, is what makes Cowboys fans look bad.

You see things like a typical FAN. That call had everything to do with the rule and you need to get over it. If there was a bias against the Cowboys they wouldn't have caught such a huge break vs the Lions on the PI call. No one can remember a penalty be called AND announced then being reversed.

Right. It's these "I'm above complaining. It's beneath me attitude" that is laughable.

I look at the facts. The fact of the lions play is there was a hold early. Wasn't called. Plenty of holds in every game not called. Then Pettigrew grabbed his facemask. Then Hichens pushed his arm and thus hand off his mask. And the ref 10 feet from the play over ruled the ref 80 ft from the play by telling him face guarding is legal in the NFL. That's the correct call.

The two late hits on Romo. The Cobb non catch that led to a field goal and the call that turned one of the greatest catch, ruled a catch by the guy 5 feet from the play, into a terrible call inconsistant with other similar calls.

Then people like you who think that you're high and mighty because you don't complain.
Complaining about injustice helped build this country. And it could and I predict will force a rule change in the NFL.

Most reasonable people know that was a catch. Great, it's your job to police the Internet for conplaining. All the while not able to see the irony of your own complaining. Comical. :)

Typical FAN? And your not fan? Your being a hypocrite with no basis whatsoever with your argument.

I guess playing football in high school and knowing the rules don't count. I see that same call made every week in the NFL as a catch. So if your trying to refer to the Calvin Johnson rule that not it. Rule is thats a catch.

Everyone knows thats a catch but you. Even my Green Bay friends admits it.
But go ahead and pretend thats not a catch. Your argument will just fall on deaf ears.

Good points, but with one exception. That timeout Garrett took had no effect on the officials reviewing the play. That was a booth review, and it was going to happen regardless.
