I can't say I have been surprised or disappointed with any of the cuts. I think the one that may have some surprises will be getting down to 53

For me, it is Porter. Since we signed him, he has done a very nice job in practice and even produced in an actual game. I was hoping he would survive the first round of cuts, and get extensive time in the 4th preseason game to try and earn the 5th WR spot on the roster.

Bryant, Williams, and Beasley are locks for the roster. Street is still iffy to me. Whitehead seems to be on the cusp of the 5th spot. However, I think Jenkins may having something to say about all that come the 4th game.

It is just unfortunate that Porter won't be there to get a shot.

Goodley, but only from the standpoint that we really didn't get much of a chance to see what he's got.

Didn't Porter have an injury that would keep him out of the 4th game?

Agree, he looked good when he got the chance.

I'm sure that the Cowboy defensive ends are missing Dill being on the team. Robs them of easy wins on 1 on 1 drills.

He could be PS material

He didn't show up as waived injured, but I thought he was on the injury list prior to being released.

If he gets an injury settlement of any type, he can't return to the 53 until 6 weeks plus the time the settlement was based on.

I wonder if this (6 weeks plus) applies to the practice squad also. I guess that if a player was offered a spot on the practice squad then he might decline a minor type injury settlement.

I guess I'm really just thinking out loud.:)

Rod Stewart...the guy who sang about not being able to get a date...have a look at all the femmes who read Great Books with Rod...might as well listen to Madonna lamenting a lost love...or Dion shocked at Sue's behavior.

Right

Now back to flying bananas with spiders left on 3.

No surprises or nothing to be upset about.
Now the next 22 to get to 53. most will be easy.
I have it down to 7 players right now for 5 or 6 final spots. This is not counting if they go with 3 QB's. right now I have only 2.

These are my roster thoughts.

5th WR to Whitehead or Jenkins, Harwell still in there, but have him more as a PS player. They could keep 2 of the 3
Gibson on the OL, do they keep 8 or 9, and of course this effects other positions, lie a 6th WR.

K. Smith at LB, but now since Ro has been activated, he probably goes to the PS. I doubt the y keep 8 LB's. If only 6 are kept, them Wilber goes.
How many DB's do they keep. With the versatility with White and Jones, could they keep only 8. Right now I have them keeping 9. The 8th and 9th spots I have between Heath, McCray and Scott.
I bet Scott goes to PS though. ST's needs Heath and McCray.

The biggie, what to do on DL and how many. I have us going with 11 until Hardy returns. But a lot is based on hoping our young guys are better than we all think they are.
So the final spots are between Bishop, Edwards, or you can also include T. McClain, Gardner. I did have Coleman in that mix, but now have him on my 53.

But I don't think I will be upset over any cuts from all of this. I would say I may pull for Jenkins making the team over any of these other scenarios.

They cut the extra long snapper. That makes it more difficult to implement my new formation. I want to use a long snapper and have Romo line up 15 yards behind the line and remove all OLinemen and replace them with receivers. If defenses rush there will automatically be an open receiver and the pass rushers have to go 15 yards to get to Romo before he finds the open receiver. This will revolutionize football. Take that Chip Kelly. I need the extra long snapper in case the starter gets injured. This is too important to not have a backup.

Yeah, but that Offense is only good for two plays. It will work the 1st time and it will revolutionize the game. However, the second time, Chip Kelly will know what he is seeing and realize that his Offensive Genius is in the crapper. He will then instruct his DL to cripple Tony in order to save his own career and that Offense will set the Cowboys back another decade trying to replace Tony.

Too much?
