Ok, i dont remember exact details, but this is something like he said

he said wade did something that was illegal against the law, the minimum fine by the nfl for that is 4 games, so since wade was a coach, he fined him 5 games, plus the 100,000

there is a report they will be monitoring the patriots and if they see them the nfl catches them on any more type of cheating, the penalilties will be more severe

i am talking what they said on nfl.com i believe, like first 3 draft choices, belichick would be suspended first 6 games or so, stuff like that, they are still monitoring the supposedly radio transmissions and head sets cut offs that the patriots were usinng when teams were in foxboro

now there are reports that now only was the guy using a camera to record the defensive signals, but there was also another camera recording audio signals and bilichick may have been storing that information for future reference,
that all i know right now

From everything I've read, Wade didn't do anything that was illegal. What the doctor did was illegal.

i agree adam, but Goodell said what wade did was against the law, thats why the heavy suspension and fine

i disagree, to me, Goodell set a precedent when he suspended a coach for doing some illegal, no matter whether it was illegal or not, goodell set that precedent

so to me, he should suspencd bilechick, but you and i know reason why he wont do it, is because the patriots were top team for last 6 years, and kraft;

Goodell blinked because of that, to me, when you set a precedent of punishing coaches, you cant back down, if you do, then your wrong and your playing favorites

there are rumors now that now only was the camera man taking pictures and recording defensive signals, along with the illegal radio transmissions by the patriots, there was also a 2nd camera that was recording audio signals so that bilechick was having recorded so that he would have that info stored for future reference.

if that is true, you add all of that in, the camera man, the illegal radio transmissions and cut out of headsets in foxboro, and Goodell letting them get away with that, is totally wrong,

he is even giving the patriots a break, he admitted best i remember that he wasnt sure about patriots having 2 # 1 draft picks, and if the patriots dont make the playoffs then he would just charge them their # 2 and 3 draft choice, but he wont say anything about 2 draft choices the patriots have,

so to a degree, he goodell is letting them get away with that, say the patriots make the playoffs, and go further, then they would lose their # 1 pick, but they would still have the higher # 1 pick of the 49ers,

again, it sounds like he is letting the patriots off the hook;

he suspended players like tank johnson, pac man, bengal players, wade wilson, and vick, but he Blinks when it comes to the patriots and bilechick,

so to me he is favoring the patriots, and letting them off the hook, if you ask sports writers, televison crews, etc, they all agree Goodell is letting the patriots off the hook,

and that is bullcrap about bilechick misunderstanding the way the rules were about using cameras to record signals, Goodell knows that is bullcrap, and so does the NFL,

In Goodells defense, he did say that Belicheat's interpretation of the rules was flat out wrong. That's why he passed down the "harsh" punishment he did. Yeah, Roger; not hard enough. There should have been a fine and suspension for Belicheat in addition to the fine and draft pick loss by the organization.

He said that Wade broke the law and that's why he got a suspension. Apparently he feels that since BeliCheat just broke the rules and gained a competitive advantage that he didn't deserve a suspension.

Costas mentioned he had ordered the Cheats to turn over all the video tapes and any notes, etc. that were related to them. Costas then asked him if he thought he would get everything. Goodell said he was confident he would get everything.

Costas asked how he could be so sure. Goodell responded that he was sure because he told Kraft that if he didn't get everything he would increase the penalties. Big deal. How would he ever know if he got everything or not?

Patriots have all the footage they need from all the teams, they are set for life. It's time for all teams to change everything they do.

I still think the Wade Wison suspension was bad business by the Commish.

Whatever it was, it was completely bogus. Goodell is backpedaling big-time on this issue. He's been a great commish up to this point, but he's bungled this one.

RG: Guys, we have irrefutable evidence that Wade Wilson is a 'roider. I suggest a lifetime ban and banishment to Canada.

Upshaw: Uh... you can't do that, Roger. And what about Belichick? He cheated.

RG: SO DID WILSON! I'M THE BOSS! WILSON GETS THE CHAIR AND BELICHICK GETS A FRUIT BASKET.

He didn't remember that the Pats have 2 1st round picks? He's the commissioner, what the hell? I understand that he has a lot of things on his mind, but if you are going to punish a team for cheating and you are thinking of taking away a draft pick, do a little research to find out if the punishment is going to really have an impact.

Also, most of the talking heads on the pre-game shows were even calling BS on the punishment. The FOX crew was standing up for Wade, too.

Goodell told the Pats today that they have to turn in all footage they have on other teams. Whether they actually turn in all the footage is another story.

I love how Kraft said he had no knowledge that this was going on. If he was Pinnochio, his nose would have been 3 feet long by the end of the interview.

Edit: I found the video of Goodell's interview. He talks about Wilson a few minutes into it.

http://video.nbcsports.com/player/?id=156887

Two interesting things. First, he says Wilson was engaged in an illegal activity. But everything I've read says it's illegal to distribute HGH or to prescribe it wrongly, but not to receive it or possess it (without intent to distribute). He also says it's "not an accurate point" to say that Wilson took it to treat complications of his diabetes, which appears to mean that he's calling Wilson a liar.

According to PFT, Goodell said whatever Wade bought wasn't to treat complications from his diabetes -- which basically means he's calling Wade a liar.

He said that he didn't want to get into it the personal aspect of why Wilson might have obtained HGH. Kind of a "motive is irrelevent" sort of stance. He didn't say what PFT is claiming.

Goodell is just another white collar judge, where he gives the white collar criminals (Kraft and Belicheat) the minimum security sentence while they continue to reap their rewards after their "punishment", while Wade Wilson is like the blue collar criminal who has the book thrown at him to project the image that Goodell is a "tough" guy on crime.

People have little integrity and sense of justice these days.

Here's exactly what was said --

Costas says, "Wilson, who is no longer a player, says he received it to help him cope with the effects of diabetes. Is that a disproportionate penalty -- assistant coach for HGH as against Belichick with a competitive advantage?"

Goodell replies, "Well first of all, I'm not going to get into the personal situations for why Wade was taking it, but that's not an accurate point. Second of all, Wade Wilson was involved in a criminal activity. It was against the law."

Maybe I've read differently, but what Wilson and Harrison did was illegal. Fortunately for them, the legal people don't want to prosecute them, they want the distributors. In this case, the doctors and the suppliers.
